Maintaining Focus on what is Important

Change happens. It can be exciting, it can be scary, it can be scary and exciting, it can bring anxiety, induce calm - waves of both.
It can bring questions.
Am I making the RIGHT decision.
We use that a lot.
RIGHT.
Do the RIGHT thing.
Make the RIGHT chose.
Make sure the choice you make is within the WILL of God. We can cripple ourselves with FEAR and INDECISION. Afraid we won’t be in the will of God, or may somehow make the WRONG decision.
and that somehow all of this will happen, and one day we will look back and realize we went so wrong and PANIC!
Matthew 11:28–30 CSB
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Does THIS, sound like THAT?
Jesus does not say, come to me and freak out! Come to me and WORRY! Worry about all these things.
Jesus says, Come, all who are weary and burdened - boy all these choices seem like burdens.
Come to me and I will give you REST!
I’m not throwing all kinds of choices and responsibilities on you: I am lowly and humble - you will find rest.
Jesus says, come learn from him. He YOKE is easy, his burden is light.
I want to start off this morning by giving us a word of LIGHTEN UP!
Don’t stress. Fear not - 365 times in the Bible.
Right here: release the stressors.
So let’s all together take a DEEP BREATH! <- that is purpose!

You serve the Lord Jesus - The Shoes of a Child of God

Keep the main thing, the main thing!
If you have asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, you are a child of God!
Romans 8:14–17 CSB
For all those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear. Instead, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children, and if children, also heirs—heirs of God and coheirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
