Introduction:
Good morning, it feels so good to be back in the pulpit. Thank you so much, for allowing me to have some time off to spend it with my family.
I can definitely relate to the prophet Jeremiah, in his observation:
Jeremiah 20:9b (NKJV)
But His word was in my heart like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones;
I was weary of holding it back,
And I could not.
It has been a year since our last Vision Sunday and we have been through a lot.
Deaths
Births
Families leave
Families becoming apart of our church too
God’s blessed us with capable men who can teach the Word of God
Also with those able to lead us in worship
Lots of baptisms
Most importantly people have given their lives to Christ!
If there should be any metric by which we should measure our churches success, it would have to be by how many people are coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and how many people are being obedient to God and are baptised.
