Introduction

Closing out the first half of a series in Ephesians
Paul is going to write one of the more powerful prayers in Scripture
I think it is important for us as a church as we work through this change up our normal morning and pray this prayer together

Sermon Block 1: Ephesians 3:14-15

Ephesians 3:14–15 ESV
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
We come back to the phrase “for this Reason”?

I bow my knee before the father…
To bow = to show reverence to the king.
When was the last time your physical posture reflected your heart towards God?
Why do you praise God: (For what reason)
We show reverence to God for who he is and what he had done?
The Father (as the text says)
Who created heaven and earth.
We praise God for who he is
We praise God for what he has done.
Instruction: (Personal)
Express your adoration to God in Prayer
Position yourself in a posture that reflects your heart towards God.

Sermon Block 2: Ephesians 3:16

Ephesians 3:16 ESV
that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
According to Gods riches…
We can ask because God has it…
it is all Gods so we have confidence in asking…
Asking a grandparent for something verse a parent.
What are we asking God for?
The first request… That he may strengthen our inner beings…
How is your spirit? (Weary, Heavy, Confident, Peaceful, stressed, overwhelmed)
May we pray with Paul today trusting that God has the power to strengthen us.. to sustain us.

Instruction: (1:1)

Turn to a neighbor share with them the answer to this question? How is your spirit?
Go to God in prayer and ask God to strengthen you in his power..

Sermon Block 3: Ephesians 3:17-19

Ephesians 3:17–19 ESV
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,
