Introduction
Body
Our inheritance is two fold untimely speaking; if we are a christian a son of God we have the crown of life store up for us in heaven and we get to go live with God.
Inheritance is the love and knowledge of the truth.
Some one has to teach you the love and knowledge of the truth.
When we start our journey away from God we start our journey away from the love and knowledge of the truth.
To not follow God’s truth is to waist your inheritance.
To walk away from the truth creates your own pigsties.
There is the possibility that we will never recognize our pigsties.
In order to return to God ( the love knowledge of the truth) we have to clean up the things in our lives that have created the pigsties.
The examples of pigsties in our lives are--
Not attending services of any kind
A loose tongues
Broke homes
Addictions
The wrong job
The beauty of the prodigal son is God will come meet us and forgive all the sins that created our pigsties.
But God will not meet us in our pigsties. We have to leave our pigsties first.
The things that created our pigsties create scares in our lives.
A tongue is a hard thing to brittle once it gets away.
Evil thoughts are hard to keep in control because they don’t just stop.
Ninety percent of the time a broken home can not be mended.
Just like the prodigal son had to leave the pigsties in the far off country and struggle to return home; we too must leave the pigsties and struggle to return to God and it is a struggle to return to God!
The struggle to return to God is cleaning up our lives.
Conclusion
Don’t leave and take your inheritance.
Be like Paul—2 Timothy 4:7-8
2 Timothy 4:7–8 NKJV
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
If you have left and found yourself in your own pigsties as we all do you must start your journey back.
seek ye first the kingdom of God. Put God first in everything that you do. Matt 6.33
Matthew 6:33 NKJV
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
If you want to return to God you must to go to his kingdom.
