As an old man

Stones of the law still standing from the first gathering after the conquest of Canaan.

But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all thy works.

Daniel

But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.
As a humble man
Daniel could have spoken this as a young man when he refused the food of the king’s table
He could have spoke this as an old man when he continued to pray to the Lord
He spoke it at the moment when it would have been to his greatest advantage to gain place
