This Week’s Theme: A Mind to do God’s Work
The Word for the Week is Wisdom: The quality of knowledge, discernment and understanding characteristic of God Himself. Believers obtain it through seeing and responding to life’s situations from God’s frame of reference.
Memory verse: Psalms 111:10 (NKJV) The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do [His commandments.] His praise endures forever.

1 Kings 3:5 NKJV
At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?”

What Shall I Ask For?

Shall is Ask for Wealth

I can help the poor

Shall I Ask to Win

I can have peace

Asking With God In Mind

Shall I Ask for Wisdom

He Retrieves

Proverbs 18:15 NKJV
The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

He Receives

Proverbs 10:8 NKJV
The wise in heart will receive commands, But a prating fool will fall.

He Able to Restrain

God’s wisdom is LIMITLESS

Psalm 147:5 NKJV
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.

God’s wisdom is SPLENDID

Isaiah 40:28 NKJV
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.

God’s wisdom is SUPERIOR

Isaiah 55:9 NKJV
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

The Ask is Limited by the Provider
