Back drop: Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
Note: Di Autes- (RSV interpretation): Is the right understanding. Refers to faith, but the WORD “Faith” does not occur in the text!
Last weeks Trailblazer Enoch: Walked with God (Gen5:24): He was briefly mentioned, but he stands out!
a. He pleased God: Although briely mentioned, before he was taken, God noted that He was pleased with him!
b. Faith built on a MUTUAL TRUST: There is “TRUE communication.” This could not exsist without faith!
c. Come to Christ moment: Not just a moment in time, but was “Faith completed” for eternity on the & 7th day when we were commanded to rest in him!
This weeks Trailblazers who put faith in motion with demonstration!
1. Noah: Hebrews 11:7 “By faith Noah, when warned (Vs.1) about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark (Gen6:13-22) to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.” (Gen:6:9)(Ezk14:14,20) (Rom9:30)
a. Warning to draw near: Whoever draws near to God, must believe that He exsist! Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then approach (Heb7:19) God’s (Heb7:19) throne of grace with (Eph3:12) so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
- Hebrews 7:25 “Therefore he is able to save(Rom11:14) completely (eternal/forever) those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” (Rom8:34) (Heb2:17) (2Cor5:21)
-Hebrews 10:1-2 “The law is only a shadow ( Christ the reality) of the good things (Heb9:11) that are coming—not the realities themselv es (Heb9:23). For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect (Heb10:4) those who draw near to worship.” ( Heb7:19)
-Hebrews 10:22 “let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”
