Top 10 Blessing Blockers:
10. Not Being A Giver
Malachi 3:10 “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
If we hang on to our money with white knuckles, and grit our teeth every time the plate is passed around, we are essentially telling God “I don’t believe you.”
2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Philippians 2:3–4 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
Acts 20:35 “In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
9. Complaining/Lack of gratitude.
The #1 reason for anxiety and depression
Numbers 14:27–28 ““How long shall this wicked congregation grumble against me? I have heard the grumblings of the people of Israel, which they grumble against me. Say to them, ‘As I live, declares the Lord, what you have said in my hearing I will do to you:”
8. Un-forgiveness
Mark 11:25 “And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
Matthew 6:14–15 “For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Unforgiveness will imprison you in your past. It will make you bitter

7. Worry
We just talked about this last Sunday, remember?
Is opposite of faith…It is practical atheism
Your worrying is telling God Almighty that you don’t believe He’s big big enough to take care of you
Romans 14:23 “But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.”
6. Lukewarmness
Revelation 3:14–16 ““And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation. “ ‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.”
5. Our Words: Blessing or Cursing?
your tongue is a force, how you use it, has a huge impact on you and everybody around you
Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”
James 3:6 “And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.”
Proverbs 12:18 “There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”
And we will give an account for our words...
Matthew 12:36 “I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak,”
4. “Little Faith”
Matthew 8:23–27 “And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. And they went and woke him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?””
Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
3. Sin
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Makes you feel worthless
Leads to the Loss of God’s presence
Leads to captivity
Leads to death
Leads to Eternal separation from God
Makes you an enemy of God
Brings curses
Brings diseases
Leads to misery
Deprives us of spiritual strength and comfort
Weakens the soul and deprives it of its strength
Hinders our spiritual walk
Darkens the soul
Nothing on this top 10 list will kill a blessing quicker than sin..

2. Non repentance
Webster Dictionary:
Is to not feel regret or remorse over one’s sin and wrongdoings
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1. Pride
The danger of pride is that most people are unaware of their pridefulness. Pride gives way to conflicts and quarreling. The Bible lists eight terrible dangers of pride:
1. Thinking that our ideas are infallible.
2. Being consumed by arrogance
3. Being sharp and ruthless with others
4. Thinking that others have to bow down before me
5. Believing that everyone has to do things as I say
6. Rebelling against God and His will.
7. Seeking to alienate others from God
8. Deifying yourself
Making our-self the little g god of our life
Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
James 4:6 “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.””
Proverbs 13:10 “By pride comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom.”
The next time you find yourself willing to fight or argue to get your way, I pray the HS conviction on you.
