This morning we are continuing in the book of Romans, if you can turn with me to Romans 2:5-8.
As you turn there we will be taking a break form Romans for the summer and we will be doing a summer series through the fruits of the holy spirit.
We really feel like this is a great series for the season we are in as a church
I encourage you to come and invite a friend as we look at the life we can have because of the Gospel
Let’s read: 5 But because of your hard and unrepentent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 He will render to each one according to his works: 7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; 8 but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2016), Ro 2:5–8.
We are back as we unfold the wrath of God
What we are hopefully seeing is God’s righteousness and his kindness
The recipients of this letter seem to be dropping the ball and if we’re honest we aren’t any different
Paul is writing to a church that has just started and has both jews and gentiles and he’s trying to help them understand doctrine
He’s wanting them to understand God
