One major theme in the Bible is unity in Christ

Colossians 3:14 “Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.”

1.1 (V3) Not only love, but knit together in wisdom and knowledge

1 Corinthians 1:24 “But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.”

All different kinds of people united in Christ (Christ in common, everything in common)

Love, wisdom, and knowledge (All are needed to be knit together)

1.2 (V4) Why is Paul telling us this? So no one will deceive you with well crafted arguments

1.3 (V5) I rejoice because that you are living as you should and strong in faith

a) The way they live life is evidence of their strong faith

Some one can say they believe but if they live a life contrary to the faith, do they really believe?

2. (V6) As you have accepted Christ, you must continue to follow Him

Paul had a concern for the people and a desire to see them continue to follow Christ
