5 Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.
6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; Ye eat, but ye have not enough; Ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; Ye clothe you, but there is none warm; And he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.
Title: Spiritual Jurisdiction: Apathy
Friday night was the second lesson on the subject of apathy.
Made statements like: “you Nebraskans…”
Please understand, spiritual jurisdictions are no different than physical.
Some good and some bad aspects of us all and we have to deal with both the good and the bad!
Apathy: lack of life, lifeless, lack of care or CARE FOR THE WRONG THING
The Book of Haggai is an interesting book.
587 the Babylonians capture Jerusalem
In 520 the Assyrians have taken and releases the Jews to go back to Jerusalem if they want.
Many went back and were instructed to rebuild the house of God…
But go back and build homes for themselves but forget about God.
Israel was focused on the wrong thing!
Indifference to what was important to God!
Apathy is about the fulfilment of MY need and desires!
Apathy manipulates my priorities.
Not just laziness, but a focus on the WRONG thing.
Jobs, family, hobbies, school
Nothing wrong with any of these things unless you begin to pursue them above reason.
Greatest trick of apathy: Dan7.25
Daniel 7:25 (KJV 1900)
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
How to deal with apathy.
Right spirit
Repentance and obedience
Realigned priorities
Hard work doing the right thing
Fulfillment
Conclusion:
Daniel 7:22 (KJV 1900)
22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
You have to fight Apathy.
Realign our priorities!
Got to build God’s House!
