There is no greater time of joy than what a follower of Jesus Christ receives at the end of this trial called life. It is hard to put an analogy on or make a comparison to something most people have seen or experienced because the trial is so much greater as is the blessing received at its end. The joy we can experience here on earth comes from the peace that God gives, and the thought of that peace never ending. We can try to compare it to recovery after surgery or the view and fresh air at the top of a mountain hike, but here is what we need to ask God for help with daily: Don’t give in, keep the faith, and bring others with you. James 1:1–8; Genesis 22:1–2; Psalms 146:3–4; Matthew 4:1–4; Romans 5:3–5; Hebrews 11:6; 2 Corinthians 12:9–10; 2 Corinthians 5:17
