Corinthians 7:23
Introduction
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, church! Today, we stand on holy ground as we delve into a life-transforming truth from the Word of God. Open your Bibles to 1 Corinthians 7:23. The scripture declares, तिमीहरू मोल तिरेर किनिएका हौ, मानिसहरूका कमारा नबन।“You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.” Somebody say, "I am bought at a price!" Hallelujah! Today, we will uncover the profound power in this verse and let it set our spirits ablaze!
Context
The Apostle Paul was addressing the Corinthians—a church wrestling with many challenges, just like us today. He was calling them to remember their true identity and the unimaginable price paid for their freedom. Let’s break this down, church!
Main Points
1. We Are Bought at a Price
The Ultimate Sacrifice: Do you know what that price was, church? It wasn’t with gold or silver. No! It was the precious blood of Jesus Christ! Somebody shout, "Thank You, Jesus!" He gave His life on Calvary so that we might live. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son." That’s the measure of His love for us!
Our Worth in God's Eyes: Satan wants to tell you that you’re not good enough, that you’re insignificant. But God declares, “You are worth the life of My Son!” Lift your hands and declare, "I am precious in His sight!" Say it again, "I am precious in His sight!"
2. Do Not Become Slaves of Human Beings
Freedom in Christ: We have been set free by the blood of Jesus! Galatians 5:1 स्‍वतन्‍त्रताको निम्‍ति ख्रीष्‍टले हामीलाई स्‍वतन्‍त्र पार्नुभएको छ। यसकारण दह्रा भएर खड़ा होओ, र फेरि दासत्‍वको जुवामुनि नपर shouts, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Somebody say, "I am free!" Turn to your neighbor and say, "You are free!"
Resisting Worldly Influence: The world will try to conform us to its ways. It will say, “Chase after wealth, seek human approval.” But our God says, “Seek first My kingdom!” Romans 12:2 commands us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Can I get an amen?
Serving God Wholeheartedly: Colossians 3:23-24 tells us, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters... It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Let every heartbeat, every breath, every action be for His glory! Shout, "I serve the Lord!"
3. Practical Applications- vyavaharik Avedana
Embrace Your Identity: Church, know who you are in Christ! You are a redeemed child of God, bought at a price. Walk in that victory. When the devil tries to tell you lies, stand firm and declare, “I am bought at a price!” Say it with me, "I am bought at a price!"
Stand Against Conformity: (behaviour in accordance with socially accepted conventions). Don’t let the world mold you. Be shaped by the Word of God. Immerse yourself in prayer, in worship, and in the Scriptures. Surround yourself with believers who will lift you up and hold you accountable. Somebody say, "Stay rooted in the Word!"
Live Out Your Freedom in Love: Galatians 5:13 proclaims,
"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love."
Use your freedom to serve, to love, and to be a light in this dark world. Turn to your neighbor and say, "Serve in love!"
Conclusion
As we close, let this resonate in your spirit: You are bought at a price. You are valued by the blood of Jesus. Live in the freedom He has given you. Don’t be enslaved by the world, but be led by the Spirit. Walk in your God-given identity and serve Him with all your heart. Somebody give the Lord a shout of praise!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the incredible price You paid for our freedom. We declare that we are bought by the blood of Jesus, and we refuse to be slaves to the world. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, empower us to walk in freedom, and use us for Your glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, and the church shouts, Amen
