Barna conducted a survey of nearly 15,000 young adults and found that.
38% are determined to follow their dreams
36% want to start a business.
Very few of those surveyed cared about things like enjoying life before they had resposibilities.
Barna labeled the crossover generation between Millennials and Gen Z as the “success driven generation.”
____________
I love young Adults because this age group not only has dreams but also has the beginnings of the equity and wherewithal to begin chasing them!
BIG TRUTH!:God is not against our success.
God is not against our wealth
God is not against our notoriety
God actually guarantees success to those who walk in accordance with His law.
Joshua 1:8 NKJV
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
So my first goal for tonight is to generate and cultivate a hunger within each and every one of you to be successful!
____________

Define Success

But in order for us to arrive at success we have to define success.
You will never hit what you aren’t aiming at.
To simply pursue some ambiguous idea of success is to guarantee that you will never achieve it.
Many people make the mistake of thinking that success is indicated by the level of pleasure that we can partake in.
The car that we can drive
The house that we can afford
The vacations we can take.
While these things are amazing byproducts of success…they are shallow by themselves.
NOONE CAN BE FULFILLED BY PLEASURE!
Success is not a net worth
Success is not a relaitonship status
IN FACT I WANT TO SET YOU FREE…SUCCESS IS RELATIVE!

____________ Success Equation

Capability + Opportunity = Success/Failure
Once you define your version of success you then have to go on the left side of the equation and make it work.
OUR GENERATION BEMOANS THE LACK OF OPPORTUNITY!
We place too much of the weight of our success on the availability of our opportunity!
Banner Health stipulates that often depression, anxiety, and mental health issues are rooted in worrying about things we cannot change.
I CANNOT CHANGE THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT ARE PRESENTED TO ME.
But I can determine how much preparation I put into my capabilities.
We cannot control the magnitude of our opportunities but we can control the management of our capabilities.
Proverbs 18:16 ESV
16 A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before the great.
2 Timothy 1:6 ESV
6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands,
My capability determines my level of success
My integrity determines the longevity of my success
Ongoing Grind
Overwhelming Gratitude
Opportunistic Grace
