Introduction
We don’t know the historic background of the psalm. But from v.3 we see the psalmist was experiencing some kind of trouble. It could have been National turmoil, it could have been personal problems and suffering. Whatever the problems were that he was facing this psalm shows us how he dealt with them. He placed his confidence in the LORD and trusted in him. Instead of allowing the problems to overwhelm him he kept his focus on who the LORD is and what he has done.
The fact is just as the psalmist was experiencing trouble. So will we as Christians. We are not exempt from suffering. How can we face problems whether national or personal with peace?
How can Christian’s have peace in the midst of trouble?
We learn the answer from this psalm when we look at how the psalmist approaches the troubles he was facing.
