Simon Says

Intro

You are no longer downstairs in the basement and childrens ministry, because of this we do have a few expectations. These expectations are the same that we have for the teenagers in the youth group. You can also find them on the wall.
Can someone read to me what the first We Are statement says?

We are Worshippers

What does that mean. It means that ultimately we are here to worship God.
John 4:23 NIV
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

We are Listeners

What do you think this one means?
It means that we are going to be respectful of everyone in this room. When someone else is talking we will listen to them. Whether it is me, the other person teaching, or one of the other students.

We Are Questioners

Any guesses on this one?
it means we are willing to ask questions. We are willing to inquire about things, because I do believe that the Bible is truth and I am not afraid to dig into hard things to make sure that what we believe is accurate. So what we discuss may bring up questions, feel free to ask about them. Ask your parents, ask me, ask each other. God is not afraid of asking questions. It’s how we can grow our faith.

We Are Encouragers

Our goal is to encourage each other.
Hebrews 10:24–25 NIV
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
This means that we have to be kind, and use words that will encourage each other, and not tear each other down, but make sure what we are doing and saying is encouraging to one another.

We Know when to have fun and when to be serious

This one is pretty self explanatory.
We like to have fun, but there are times when we need to be serious. These times include during the lesson, especially during prayer requests.

If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all.
