Colossians 1:15–16 NASB95
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.
Just as a mirror reflects our physical appearance, Jesus reflects the spiritual reality of the invisible God, allowing us to comprehend His divine nature and character through His visible life on earth.
Just as a photograph captures a moment in time and allows us to see the reality of the scene, Jesus serves as the perfect image of the invisible God, revealing God's character and nature to humanity.
When we see a breathtaking sunrise or a majestic mountain, we catch a glimpse of the beauty and power of the natural world. Similarly, Jesus reveals the awe-inspiring attributes of the invisible God, giving us a glimpse of His divine nature and glory.
