Naomi and her daughters-in-law left to return to Bethlehem. [v. 6]

Naomi urged her daughters-in-law to return to their families of origin. [vv. 7-13]

Naomi and Ruth continue together while Orpah returns to her family of origin. [vv. 14-16]

Basic Premise:

Ruth committed to staying with Naomi realizing it could negatively impact her life.

Applicable Points:

We should honor our commitments in life even when there seems to be little benefit to ourselves.
