Ephesians 5:18–20 (NLT) Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, 19 singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. 20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 14:26 “What is the outcome then, brothers? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has a translation. Let all things be done for edification.”
Psalm 42:1–2 The Passion Translation
I long to drink of you, O God, to drink deeply from the streams of pleasure flowing from your presence. My longings overwhelm me for more of you! My soul thirsts, pants, and longs for the living God. I want to come and see the face of God.
I Hear His Whisper...
Let heaven invade your brokenness.
God is telling us:
It’s okay to feel the desperation of hunger for me. Let your discomfort lead you into My presence. I see the weariness that has landed so heavily upon you. It will always find you when your focus is on duties, obligations, and disappointments. Instead, stand in my presence. Again and again. Let your hunger and thirst thrust you before me—the only One who will satisfy.
I know how to brush away the dusty debris of your distracted mindset. Come closer to me and heaven will invade the brokenness. My glory will explode every chain of heaviness. I’m standing beside you—in you. I created you, and I know how to heal you and refresh you. I am your wisdom. I speak life into every dead thing. I resurrect the joy that grief has stolen. Resign that weight to me and receive my grace. You don’t need to carry what I’ve already paid the price to free you from. I encapsulate all you need. I am enough. Rest in me, and I will fill you so completely, there will be no room for any contrary thoughts.
