1 Thessalonians 3:11–13 KJV 1900
Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

God Caused Compassion

Sacrifice Rooted in Christ

John 3:16 KJV 1900
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Paul’s life was motivated by the sacrificial love of God.
John 8:42 KJV 1900
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Paul said that his personal mission and the mission of the churches started through his ministry were for one purpose.
Philippians 4:20 KJV 1900
Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Acts 20:21 CSB
I testified to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

Sacrifice Demonstrated through Faith

Sacrifice Backed by Action

2 Corinthians 7:1 KJV 1900
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
The greatest action of faith and love for you is the deliverance of Christ to the cross.
Romans 8:32 KJV 1900
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
For Paul, the gospel caused him to change his approach to ministry to other people. He demonstrated the love of God in his life, and God calls us to live this way too. He calls us to imitate Paul as Paul imitated Jesus.
