Malachi 3:1–5 TLV
“Behold, I am sending My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. Suddenly He will come to His Temple —the Lord whom you seek— and the Messenger of the covenant —the One whom you desire— behold, He is coming,” says Adonai-Tzva’ot. But who can endure the day of His coming? Or who can stand when He appears? For He will be like a refiner’s fire, and like soap for cleaning raw wool. And He will sit as a smelter or a purifier of silver, and He will cleanse the sons of Levi, and purify them like gold or silver. Then they will become for Adonai those who present an offering in righteousness. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to Adonai, as in days of antiquity and years of old. “Then I will draw near to you in judgment, and I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, adulterers, perjurers those who extort a worker’s wage, or oppress the widow or an orphan, those who mislead a stranger. They do not fear Me,” says Adonai-Tzva’ot.

(Talk about refiners fire…) A refiner’s fire melts down a metal, such as gold or silver, for purification purposes. Once a metal is in its melted down state, the dross in the metal rises to the top and is then removed from the metal before it cools.
It is seen in Leviticus 9 with the fire from heaven consuming the offering on the altar
It is seen in 2 Chronicles 7 when Solomon’s Temple was complete as fire from heaven consumed the offerings on the alter
We see it in 1 Kings 18 with the fire from heaven consuming Elijah’s offering as he faced off against the prophets of Baal
We also see it in Leviticus 10 as the fire from the Presence of G-d kills Nadav and Avihu who brought strange fire before HaShem
Fire from heaven is a powerful imagery used throughout the Bible. It is seen in Exodus 19 & 20 with the giving of the Torah
It is seen in Acts 2 with the outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh

Matthew 3:7–12 TLV
But when he saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his immersion, he said to them, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance; and do not think that you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father’! For I tell you that from these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. Already the axe is laid at the root of the trees; therefore every tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire! “As for me, I immerse you in water for repentance. But the One coming after me is mightier than I am; I am not worthy to carry His sandals. He will immerse you in the Ruach ha-Kodesh and fire. His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He shall clear His threshing floor and gather His wheat into the barn; but the chaff He shall burn up with inextinguishable fire.”

Acts 2:1–4 TLV
When the day of Shavuot had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. And tongues like fire spreading out appeared to them and settled on each one of them. They were all filled with the Ruach ha-Kodesh and began to speak in other tongues as the Ruach enabled them to speak out.

Acts 2:37–41 TLV
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the emissaries, “Fellow brethren, what shall we do?” Peter said to them, “Repent, and let each of you be immersed in the name of Messiah Yeshua for the removal of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Ruach ha-Kodesh. For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far away—as many as Adonai our God calls to Himself.” With many other words he warned them and kept urging them, saying, “Save yourselves from this twisted generation!” So those who received his message were immersed, and that day about three thousand souls were added.

Galatians 5:16–25 TLV
But I say, walk by the Ruach, and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Ruach, but the Ruach sets its desire against the flesh—for these are in opposition to one another, so that you cannot do what you want. But if you are led by the Ruach, you are not under law. Now the deeds of the flesh are clear: sexual immorality, impurity, indecency, idolatry, witchcraft, hostility, strife, jealousy, rage, selfish ambition, dissension, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, just as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit God’s kingdom. But the fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Messiah have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Ruach, let us also walk by the Ruach.

We

Malachi 3 tells us the refiners fire will come and remove all impurities so that we can be a purified offering before the Lord. In Matthew 3 Yochanan HaMatbil tells us this refining fire is coming through the Ruach HaKodesh. Acts 2 we see the reality of the refiners fire of the Ruach poured out on the early followers of Yeshua. Because of the work of the Ruach purifying the deeds of the flesh and the instilling of the fruit of the Spirit in the disciples lives, those that witnessed what the Ruach was doing sought the refiner’s fire in their own lives. Peter told them to repent, be immersed in the Name of Yeshua for the removal of sin, and be filled with the Ruach HaKodesh who will carry out the work of refining our lives daily so His Fruit will shine forth.
