What is the Kingdom?
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,
the Kingdom of God is real
scripture talks about it
it was preached by Jesus and by the apostles
it is to be preached by us
the features of the kingdom is righteousness, peace and joy
the Kingdom is personified by Jesus
Jesus is righteousness, peace and joy in himself
we are required to be more like Jesus
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
talk is cheap yet power is the key
the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through you
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
now as a church, we are the sum of all the members of the church in Christ
so as a church we need to reflect Jesus
as we each one of us reflects Jesus
this should be an ever-increasing process
They arranged to meet Paul on a certain day, and came in even larger numbers to the place where he was staying. He witnessed to them from morning till evening, explaining about the kingdom of God, and from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets he tried to persuade them about Jesus.
we need to explain the Kingdom
the Kingdom is linked to Jesus - there is no separation
your responsibility as a believer is to become more Christ-like
our responsibility as achurch is to demonstrate the things of the Kingdom
my responsibilty as a Pastor is to encourage and faciliate the Holy Spirit to achieve the indicvidual and corporate outcomes
