He That The Son Sets Free Is Free Indeed!

King James Version (John 8:31-36)

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

So much truth found in here!

1. First of all people need to understand the true state of humankind.

Everyone and I mean everyone in this world is born with a sin nature and that nature is the dominant force within a person!

Frist of all people need to understand this.

2. Secondly, people must come to grips with the need of freedom.

Soooo many people do not understand their need for freedom because they do not understand how universal and how great the sin nature is in a persons life.

This is why it is so hard to reach some people. Those that are religious.

Those that don’t believe.

People have to believe they need freedom.

3. Thirdly, people must understand the way to get free.

King James Version (John 8:34-36)

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

English Standard Version (1 John 3:8)

8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

4. Fourthly, people must be willing to accept the freedom offered through this way.

5. Fifthly and finally, people must be willing to walk in the freedom that is offered.

You gotta continue to walk in it!
