Call to worship,
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made Heaven and earth.
The souls of the righteous are in the hands of God.
Their bodies are buried in peace but their name lives for ever more.
Opening Prayer
Almighty God, Our Heavenly Father, as on this day we are gathered around our war memorial and decorate the graves of the fallen comrades, Accept our memorial of their sacrifice and this offering of praise and thanksgiving. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Almighty God before whose face the generations rise and pass away. By whose grace by our relationship in Jesus Christ, we are made citizens of heaven, we rejoice in all who have faithfully lived and bravely died, especially those who loved freedom and offered their lives in its defense.

Part II

O God bless our comrades we pray, and grant unto us the peace that passes understanding and hope made real by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, help us, Father, to be faithful to the ideals, which they struggled to maintain as we seek to perpetuate the memory of our departed comrades by our service to their King. Remembering at all times our solemn obligation. May we ever pray.
Lord God of hosts be with us yet, Lest we forget. Lest we forget.
Almighty God, Father of all, we gather round our war memorial to offer our thanks for those who through the sacrifice of their lives have handed on the torch, and to ask Your divine help for the future. Give to all the assembled here the will to hold the torch still high, to serve their comrades and be an inspiration to all people that the peace of God which passes all understanding may be with us now and for ever. Amen.
These things we ask in the name of the One whose prayers we share when we say:-
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory. Forever and ever. Amen.
God Save the King.
God save our gracious king. Long live our noble king. God save the king.
Send him victorious, happy, and glorious. Long to reign over us. God save the king.
