PQ:
What are the steps of progression of this text?
UW: Steps
TS: Let us together examine the steps of progression now.
Naomi and Ruth are met with excitement as they enter Bethlehem.
Naomi is bitter and in despair, grieving her losses.
This is in contrast to the excitement of those receiving her.
Naomi and Ruth arrived in town during a season of great hope.
Naomi left during a famine. She returned during the harvest.
Conclusive Thoughts:
[1] You may be in a season of famine or drought right now, but rest assured, God is working providentially in your life. It will not be without pain, suffering, sorrow, or even grieving, but it will be good and for His glory.
[2] Don’t give up— a turning point is just around the bend. Commit to continue on trusting in God and loving Him faithfully.
