Ambassador’s for Christ

Last week we discussed being new creatures, because of the atonement and Christ reconciling us back to God by his sacrifice. Now because we are in Christ and we are able to now represent him and give to a world of rejection .. the great power of reconciliation and the righteousness of God.

Tonight i want to start talking and dealing with a word called identity

Identity is a core value and A God giving gift.

Identity is what seperates us from the animals and even the angels. We identity as the image and likeness of a majestic God. Our identity is rooted and grounded through a bibical lense and that is the way we should be thinking and engaging through life.

But there is a war going on and has been since the Garden of Eden. The accuser of the brethren wants us to believe the lies he tells us and what the culture gives us an example on who to be.

The war on are children is disgusting and terrible. The enemy wants to pollute their mind and capture their identity through gender confusion and lust and perversion.

Identity is so importnt to the beliver because identity will always be connected to purpose and assignment.. If you dont know who you are you will be out here doing anything , lost far away from your assignment.

identity is linked to God’s assignment for your life...

Thats why the attack of identity is so harsh and gross.. if he can keep you blinded and distracted, you will not understand the assignment on your life.

Say i know who i am......

I’m an ambassador of Christ.....

What is ambassador- an representative for a kingdom or government.. Because of the ministry of reconcilation , we have been afforded this great privilege to stand proclaim the gospel of the kingdom for the greatest king of them all. He’s the king of the cosmos and his name is Jesus…

Think about this God (Yaweh) has chosen the very creature that rebelled against him to know represent him as an ambassador. We don’t desrve his grace and mercy.

Characteristics of Ambassadors of Christ

Fruit of the spirit

We as believers have a distanct nature than the Ambassadors of other kingdoms, we are entriched within a cosmic war between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light (col 1:13)

Ambassadors of King Jesus we fight and fight against the kingdom of darkness

the tools we used to fight as ambassadors

The studying of the word of God

the whole armor of God

Prayer/ praying in tongues

Sharing of the gospel
