Our Heavenly Father

The life of king David IV
Happy Father’s Day!
Today is a day to celebrate faithful, loving father’s reflecting our loving Father in Heaven.
Our God is the only perfect, good and loving Father, we will ever going to find, in this whole universe.
He is good, He is just, He loves us, He is for us and He will never forsake us.
Let’s pray
My prayer today is that we will have a fresh revelation of
Our Heavenly Father
3 revelations He wants you to have this morning

1 Our Heavenly Father will never leave us. He with us.

According to the records Father’s day began in June 19, 1910, when Sonora Louise Smart decided to honor and give thanks for her dad who raised 6 children without their mom, their mom died giving birth to the last child. Dodd went to her pastor with the idea of having a day to celebrate fathers, he liked the idea, the pastor shared with their local pastor’s association, the mayor and the governor endorsed it, but it only became official in 1972 under president Nixon. The third Sunday of June became Father’s Day.
I’m reading a book by Morgan Snyder, Becoming a King and he shared this story.
Ex Some years ago a nun working in a prison had an idea, of giving an opportunity for the inmates to send a mother’s day card to their mothers, she would supply the cards, the idea was well received, so the requests begin to come in, all the sudden she realize that she didn’t have enough cards, so she asked hallmark to help by sending some extra boxes of cards, and they were able to fulfill the demand.
Father’s day was just a few weeks away so she began to work on getting cards to be prepared for the demand of cards for Father’s Day, she was all set and ready to go, she had a card for everyone in the prison, to her surprise as the date got near and passed not one card was requested.
Unfortunately, Father’s Day, is not a happy day for everyone, many don’t have much to celebrate.
According to US Census Bureau 17.8 million children, 1 in 4 live without a biological, step, or adoptive father in the home.
These are just the children with absent fathers in their lives, if we begin to talk about those suffering abuse under alcoholics, drug addicts, the mentally ill, and other kinds of abuse, the number is much higher.
The good news is our Father in Heaven is not like that, He is a wonderful Father. He gets blamed for many things, but He is always good to us.
Today is father’s day, there are very few of us that can stand up and say I was a great dad, we have our faults and failures, we disappointed our children our wives sometimes by our own wrong choices other times because we didn’t measure up to their expectations, regardless I want for you to hear this message from your Heavenly Father this morning ,
I’m with you, I will never leave you, I forgive you and if you are blaming your father and mother for abandoning you, listen what King David say in this psalm
Psa 27:10 Although my father and my mother have abandoned me, Yet the LORD will take me up [adopt me as His child].
Even if your mother and father abandoned you, the Lord is with you, He will never forsake you.
Heb 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Heb 13:6 So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

2 He Will respond to our prayers.

Jesus teach us to pray like this.
Mat 6:9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Our Father, Loving, compassionate, kind, merciful, in heaven, Holy be your name
Mat 6:10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Your Kingdom, a perfect powerful kingdom inhabited by your presence, and your will that is always perfect and good, filled with grace, let it come here to earth, as it is in Heaven.
Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread,
What we need to sustain our bodies, our soul and spirit give to us.
Mat 6:12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
Please forgive me Father for my sins and disobedience, as I forgive those who sin and come against me.
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Father don’t let me fall into temptation, deliver me from the evil one.
Mat 6:14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Mat 6:15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
If you don’t forgive your Father in Heaven will not forgive you, you are committing spiritual suicide .
Jesus came to reveal the Father to us, listen to what He has to say,
Luk 10:22 All things have been transferred and turned over to Me by My Father and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal Him."
Would you let Him reveal the Father to you?
unless Jesus reveals the Father to us we don’t know Him, we only have an idea of Him.
We can always complain about that we never had a father, or how hurtful our fathers were, and how much they miss treaded us.
There are a great number of people who have been wounded by their father’s, here on earth, I hear you, I was one of them.
ExI had a very difficult relationship with my dad, growing up, he was an angry man, we had all to walk on eggs shells around him, we never knew when he was going to explode. Sometimes were over little things. Verbal abuse was his weapon of choice, he was good.
I thank God that eventually I became a Christian, and by the grace of God I forgave him, sometime later he became a Christian and that changed his life drastically, the only sad part is that he waited till I was 40 years old, and my mother who prayed for him for 38 years, was now in Heaven, but we praised God for his salvation.

3 Failures will not hold us back

If you are reading the bible with us through bible recap we are reading about King Solomon, we just finished with King David’s life
King David was a great warrior, a great king but his life is a fantastic story of the Love of God, and his forgiveness our Heavenly Father.
David failed as a leader
2Samuel 11 and 12 we read about David staying home from battle and one afternoon from his roof top he sees Bathsheba bathing, a beautiful woman.
David was the King, besides his 8 wives, he could have any woman he wanted, as he sent for Bathsheba, he was informed who’s daughter she was, she was the daughter of Eliam one of his 37 mighty men, and her husband Uriah also one of the 37, these were men who were committed to David, support him and they would give their lives for him.
It was a Major betrayal, through Uriah, David send a note to Joab, to abandon him in battle, his friend, than Joab had to give this order to the others.
To all his mighty men, Bathsheba, David had now revealed his selfishness and evil heart .
About 9 months later David repented for his selfishness and murderer after Nathan the prophet confronted him, and the Lord disciplines him. A compassionate Father.
2Sa 12:1 And the LORD sent Nathan to David. He came to him and said to him, “There were two men in a certain city, the one rich and the other poor.
2Sa 12:2 The rich man had very many flocks and herds,
2Sa 12:3 but the poor man had nothing but one little ewe lamb, which he had bought. And he brought it up, and it grew up with him and with his children. It used to eat of his morsel and drink from his cup and lie in his arms, and it was like a daughter to him.
2Sa 12:4 Now there came a traveler to the rich man, and he was unwilling to take one of his own flock or herd to prepare for the guest who had come to him, but he took the poor man's lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.”
2Sa 12:5 Then David's anger was greatly kindled against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the LORD lives, the man who has done this deserves to die,
2Sa 12:6 and he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.”
2Sa 12:7 Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.
2Sa 12:8 And I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your arms and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if this were too little, I would add to you as much more.
2Sa 12:9 Why have you despised the word of the LORD, to do what is evil in his sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.
2Sa 12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’
He failed as a leader and as a friend
As a father he failed his sons and his daughter Tamar
Absalom and Tamar were children of David and Maacah (Maaha) the princess from Geshur, Absalom was his third son.
David’s first son was Amnon, he had him with his wife Ahinoam
Amnon his eldest son begins to lust after his half sister and ends up raping her, and rejecting her, he disgraced her.
Absalom her brother brings the matter to David and he was very angry, but didn’t do anything about it. 2 years went by, Absalom decides is time to do something about it so had Amnon Killed.
David then rejects Absalom for years, then Absalom declares himself as king and Joab kills him.
After David’s many failures, God forgives him and fulfilled the desires of his heart.
David’s life was a little messy, I don’t know if you have messed up as much as David or less? our Heavenly Father, who is loving and kind, full of mercy, forgave David in Jesus.
Gave him a son who succeed him as king, God allowed Solomon to build a temple and David arranged and planned for that, God promised to David that “your house and your kingdom shall be made sure before me forever.”
Jesus was a direct descendent of King David, Mathew show us from Joseph’s line, and Luke from Mary’s both were descendants of King David
Our Heavenly Father is here this morning, He wants for you to have a fresh revelation of Him,
He wants for you to know that He is with you
That He will respond to your prayers
That your failures will not hold you back
He will gladly forgive us for all our sins, if we ask Him.
All we need to do is to make Jesus the Lord of our lives.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Joh 3:16
To receive Jesus we need to accept Him as God’s son, repent from our sins and a life of selfishness, and we need to ask Him to be our Lord and savior, not that we deserve it, but is a gift from God.
If this is your desire today, please repeat this prayer after me?
Heavenly Father I’m sinner,
I’m sorry for my sins,
I’m willing to turn away from my sins.
I receive Christ as my savior,
I confess him as Lord
from this moment on
I want to follow and serve him,
in the fellowship of his church,
In Jesus name. Amen!
1Co 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;
1Co 11:24 and when He had given thanks, He broke itand said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
1Co 11:25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
1Co 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.
1Co 11:27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks thiscup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
Heb 9:14 dead works, acts, sins
E mau aku ka loko maika’i o ka Haku, Iesu Kristo; me ke aloha a ke Akua, a me ka launa pu ‘ana mai o ka Uhane Hemolele ia ‘olua, a me makou apau. Amene.
