Dad’s that STEPPED UP. You didn't have to but you did.

Dad, if you made mistakes. Forgive yourself. Stay in the fight.

People who have been hurt or abandoned by father's.

Know they were victims of Satan's devices

KNOW YOU can be better.

Those who HAVE A GREAT DAD. Celebrate him, encourage him, and share him

Intro - Fathers are powerful. They change destiny and impart courage. Satan knows the way to weaken a nation is to remove the men. Matthew 2:16; Exodus 1:22.

1 Corinthians 4:14–17 (ESV)

14 I do not write these things to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children.

15 For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

16 I urge you, then, be imitators of me.

17 That is why I sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach them everywhere in every church.

1. Fathers Teach & Instruct

Admonishes as beloved children.

Intentionally set their children up for success.

Equip them for success.

Brief and debrief about life

So many of my values came regular debriefs

Sparrows are like Eagles

Tell you the things others won't.

Share their mistakes and failures as well as their successes.

Ephesians 6:4 ESV

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Avoid

Overprotection - prepare the kid for the road not prepare the road for the kid. Snowplow parenting. How to raise an adult.

Mocking decisions they make -

Pushing over-realistic achievement on them.

Depriving them of freedom - allow them volition like the greatest father did

2. Rolemodels

Most success stories involve a role model and a mentor. If youre succesful in your career, chances are you had a role model

Role model BEING LED BY THE SPIRIT

Galatians 5:22–23 ESV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Fathers are examples for young men to imitate.

More likely to learn from what you do than say.

Fathers are examples to young ladies of how future spouses should treat them.

Their children see how to handle adversity even before they ever have to face them by watching their example.

3. Love their children

1 Corinthians 4:17 ESV

That is why I sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach them everywhere in every church.

A mother's love builds security. A father's love develops courage

Prophesy God’s promises over them. Believe in them until they believe in themselves.

Intentionally spend time with one another.

some things are taught. Some things are caught.

Share their values with them.

Timothy shared as Paul would have. Paula values were passed along.

We are one generation from extinction and one from revival.

Equip them for life.

Give them the tools.

Introduce them to the right people and experiences.
