blessed is the one who fears the Lord. Rarely do you see blessed after knowing what someone fears. He fears what others think, so he made a bad decision. He fears germs so he stay inside all day… only the fear of the Lord leads to life, only fear of the Lord leads to blessing.

-generatoin of upright is not to a generation but to a kind of people.

-that in the darkness light rises for the upright, then characterizes these upright as those who conduct themselves like Yahweh himself, with graciousness, mercy, and righteousness. These upright have been ransomed and brought into covenant (111:9), they fear Yahweh and delight in his commandments (112:1), and they enjoy God’s blessing in the land

The excellent wife of Prov 31 is likewise generous to the poor (Prov 31:20). Those who experience God’s lavish generosity cannot but extend it to others.

The blessed man does not fear, is established in the Lord.
