Swearing

James 3:10 ESV

10 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.

Ephesians 4:29 ESV

29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Swearing is sinful.

a swear world is something that has to participate in a cultural taboo

this means these are words that have to be referring to something that would be inappropriate to discuss in normal circumstances, are used in negative religious fashion, sexual in nature,

when someone swears they are making reference to something inappropriate or violating what is socially acceptable

bible calls us to build up with the words we speak. swearing does not build up. we are called to bless people and not to curse.

Residential Schools

Residential schools are a terrible thing that was done under the name of christianity

these schools forced enlistment of Canadian native indigenous and Meti people in schools where they were not permitted to see their families with the sole goal of killing the Indian in the child

These schools were run by the government in partnership with the catholic church and various other churches

it is important that we understand this was not biblical in the slightest

there is a Desire that all people would come to know Jesus however this is never done

Differences Between Catholic, Christian, Mormon

in the begining the church was purely catholic

one holy catholic apostolic church

great schism created eastern orthodoxy

reformation created protestantism

now we have a bunch of denominations

all of these are christian. bible authority

Mormonism is not christianity

some of the scripture is the same but much is revised and re written and added to by a man named Jospeh smith in 1820

Can I support my gay friends

Homo sexuality is wrong and is sin full

the scriptures have been clear on this

God made man for woman and woman for man

affirming sin is sinful.

we are called to be light, we are called to love, called to care and support

it is not a loving thing to do to support people in their sin.

Romans 1:26–27 ESV

26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

We as christians are people who submit and follow biblical authority. these means we use the bible as our guide line as to what is acceptable.

we do not go with what culture states is good we follow what the scriptures say.

1 Corinthians 6:9–11 ESV

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

The gospel saves us from a life of sin.

we are saved from that life style

we cannot affirm

“To approve of the very pattern of life that the gospel is designed to save you from is to oppose the gospel and promote destruction.”-JP

Loving people does not mean we accept everything they do. loving and and caring for people sometimes means doing what is hard and not approving all of their actions
