Let’s pray
Father in heaven
we are sinners
so we need to be forgiven every day
we know we don't deserve it, we ask for mercy
forgive us
we rely on your love
the love you gave when your son died in our place
Thank you for your mercy, grace and love
so come to us and glorify your name through us.
we will worship you with all our hearts.
One of the things I’ve learned about Bible is all of the Bible is about Jesus.
sometimes people say, “have you read the four Gospels? These books teach you about Jesus.”
Of course, Four Gospels teach you about Jesus.
but, Let me tell you exactly.
I’ve read all sixty-six of the Gospels; they’re all about the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the hero of the Bible.
Salvation is the theme of the Blbie.
And because Jesus is the hero and salvation is the theme,
we find Jesus standing somewhere in the shadows in all of the Old Testament.
because God wants us to be saved and He wants us to love Jesus.
Then, I have a question.
Are you saved? Do you love Jesus?
Many people go to church on sundays who have never been born again.
Nobody suspected Judas Iscariot.
“Judas, are you saved?”
“I’m a church member.”
“I didn’t ask you that, Judas, are you saved?”
“I’m a member of the best church, the one Jesus founded.”
“I didn’t ask you that, Judas, are you saved?”
“I’m a disciple of Jesus”
You can go to hell surrounded by VGA diploma and receipts for church offerings.
Listen to me. what a warning this is.
so many people have a form of godliness but they denied the power thereof
and that’s the reason the Bible says, “Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith”
Don’t think that because you’re religious that you’re going to heaven.
It was a religious crowd that crucified Jesus!
What a warning that ought to be to all of us.
This was a religious crowd, but they still nailed Jesus up on the cross.
Do you know there are many people who are going to churches today, religious but lost?
They are baptized and sing a song and make offerings for church.
they have religion, but they don’t have righteousness.
they have culture, but they don’t have Christ.
God looks at the heart.
God looks at the heart.
Religion has never saved anybody.
Most of the People in the world need to turn from religion to Jesus Christ.
How about you?
If you live in sin and God does not rebuke you, you are no different from those people.
Listen to me. If you’re a child of God, God will rebuke you through the bible and your guardians.
David, whom God loved, had words of rebuke and arrows of conviction.
Psalm 38:2 NIV
Your arrows have pierced me, and your hand has come down on me.
God pierced his heart! God said, “David, what you’ve done is wrong! It is horribly wrong.”
If God has a hand of pressure on you,
say, “Thank God He loves me too much to let me go on this way.”
God also disciplines you through your guardians.
Who is your guardian?
First, God
Second, your parents
Third, your teachers and pastors
When God disciplines you through your guardian, you must correct your behavior.
Because God is speaking to you through your guardian.
If you don't correct your behavior, you don't love God.
You may be a member of the church, a student of VGA, praise God, and give offerings, but you do not love God.
Because you ignore the Word of God.
The reason you don't change your behavior is because you don't want to change your mind.
God looks at the heart. And that heart bears fruit through action.
How should I confess my sin?
I need to confess my sin immediately.
immediately!
Write down the word immediately, at least write it in your mind.
you don’t just confess your sins at the end of the day,
much less at the end of the week.
If you get a speck of dust in your eye,
when do you try to get it out?
At the end of the week?
No immediately
Be sensitive to sin.
God wants to forgive your sins.
So, He makes you realize your sin.
And He wants to forgive those sins through Jesus.
Because God wants us to be saved and He wants us to love Jesus.
Let’s pray.
Father thank you for your love.
thank you for giving us the Bible.
thank you for giving us our guardians.
we want to know your will more through the bible and our guardian.
Give us a passion for your will.
When we read the Bible, the Holy Spirit helps us understand the words.
Please let us do as you said.
let us experience your life.
