Believe Like Noah
Believe Like Noah
Noah was just living his best life
family
friends
faith
Then God asked him to do something that was so different and strange
build a boat not on the water, not a fishing boat but a huge boat
Insted of wondering, insted of trying to justifying it to himself. The Bible says this
Genesis 6:9–22 (ESV)
22 Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him.
God has called us to believe.
It is not always Easy.
We struggle with believe. So how can we fix it
Mark write about a conversation between Jesus and a man who sought healing for his daughter that tells us how to deal with this struggle.
Mark 9:23–24 (ESV): 23 And Jesus said to him, “ ‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “ I believe; help my unbelief!
Dream like Joseph
Dream like Joseph
Joseph in my opion is one of the greatest God stories in the Old Testament.
We have a story of a boy who’s brothers hated him
sold him in to slavery
became a manager of people
wanted by another mans wife and refused then sent to prison for it (kinda)
Sat in prison
help other inmates
was brought out of prison
became the 2nd in command of all of Egypt
saved his family and horned by his brother and father.
This Whole Story started with one event.
Genesis 37:5–11 (ESV)
9 Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, “Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” 10 But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves to the ground before you?”
Joseph had dreams that he was meant for more
He then followed the path that Life give him (good and bad) and kept looking to his dream.
Dreams Take Work,
Ecclesiastes 5:3 (ESV): 3 For a dream comes with much business, and a fool’s voice with many words.
It’s time to dream again,
It’s time to dream and work to it
Its time to go beyoned words and take actions to reach the dreams you have for you and your family
What Dreams do you have ?
Write them down
make a plan
give a time
and keep pressing to it even when you life takes you other places
Leave a Legacy Like David
Leave a Legacy Like David
What David could be know fore
A Runt Shepered
anointed King
Giant killer and defender of God
Refugee from country and family
King
Messup and redemption
What is His real legacy ?
Acts 13:21–23 (ESV)
21 Then they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. 22 And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, ‘I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.’ 23 Of this man’s offspring God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, as he promised.
all the great things that David left behind, Him being a man after Gods own heart is the legacy that we hear the most about.
What Legacty are we leaving for our family
Proverbs 13:22 (ESV): 22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,
but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.
We think of an inheritance is
money
house
cars
gifts
A True Inheritance is so much more
Being a great Example
living out and passing down your faith
Setting your family up to live eternally in heaven.
Learn Like Solomon
Learn Like Solomon
1 Kings 3:3–15 (ESV)
5 At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, “Ask what I shall give you.” 6 And Solomon said, “You have shown great and steadfast love to your servant David my father, because he walked before you in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward you. And you have kept for him this great and steadfast love and have given him a son to sit on his throne this day. 7 And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of David my father, although I am but a little child. I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, too many to be numbered or counted for multitude. 9 Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?”
God was so pleased with the answer that Solomon gave that He gave to Solomon all he offered.
Because Solomon sought wisdom, he gained so much more
This could be us, If we choose to continue to seek out and learn
Proverbs 1:5 (ESV): 5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning,
and the one who understands obtain guidance,
Let us be different
so many no longer read
so many no long impove them self
Let us look for ways to impove our selfs so that our children will learn to always improve themself
IF we continuse to lear God will bless us with so much more then just knowledge.
Just as With All Of Them, Walk With God
Just as With All Of Them, Walk With God
Deuteronomy 28:1–14 (ESV)
1 “And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. 3 Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. 5 Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
