God’s Protection

Ezra built the temple.

Established the temple mount. the elders wept, the young rejoiced.

all the work into the temple

Even though there was a temple, there needs to be a way to protect the Holy Thing.

1. Keep the enemy out. Mockers of God’s holiness.

2. The pollution of the world. Filth, influence of the Idolatry.

3. Keep the Holy things protected. Keep them sacraced.

Nehemiah recieved a burden.

Sad, that the temple was not protected.

the people were trying to live for the Lord, but the enemy had access.

seemed like anytime they wanted to make a move for the Lord, the enemy would come and mock them….

Nehemiah was sad. went to work feeling the heavyness. Prayed to the Lord.

His boss said, why are you so upset?

Under his breath, Nehemiah prayed again, “oh God.”

you are the temple of the Lord.

the reason we build a wall, is to protect the temple. Keep it holy.

Disconnected from the outside.
