II. Earthly Fathers Are

A. To Provide for Their Families

1 Timothy 5:8 “8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

B. Pure Religion is Undefiled by Being a Father to the Fatherless and Widows

James 1:27 “27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

C. Fathers Are to Train Up Their Children, So They Will Not Depart From Their Faith in God

Proverbs 22:6 “6 Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

D. Fathers Are to Correct Their Children

Proverbs 29:17 “17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; Yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.”

E. You Will Have Rest and Delight If Your Corrected Them
