**Opening Song:**

Begin with your usual song about the Bible.

**Lesson: God Loves My Family**

**Introduction:**

"Boys and girls, I am so happy that you came to chapel today. Do you know how much God loves you? He loves you SO much!" (Make big, wide gesture with your arms).

**Main Lesson:**

1. **For Younger Children:**

Show first family picture

God loves your family too.

He loves parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and grandmas and grandpas.

God loves everyone. He loves you, and he loves your family too.

Boys and girls, who lives at home with you?" (Allow time for them to respond).

2. **For Older Children:**

Show family tree picture

This is what you call a family tree!

It shows us what our families look like

Grandma and grandpa

Mom’s parents (in this example)

Mother has an brother (uncle)

Mother marries father, Uncle marries aunt

Both have kids

Siblings and cousins

A simple picture of what families look like

**Engagement Questions:**

Some of you have mommies and daddies at your house

Some of you have sisters and brothers

Some of you might have grandpas, grandmas, aunts, uncles, or cousins at your house!

Who do you love to spend time with at home?"

Allow time for responses, and encourage them to share something they love doing with their family members.

Lead the children in a simple prayer, thanking God for their families and asking for His help to show love and kindness to them.
