I was struggling with a sermon for this morning until I heard the song, Let Me Tell You About My Jesus by Anne Wilson. Immediately upon hearing that song, I knew what the Lord wanted me to preach, so I asked Jessica and Colin if they could sing the song this morning.
This morning, let me tell you about my Jesus.

1. Let me tell you about my Jesus: There ain’t no sinner He can’t save.

Luke 19:10 CSB
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.”
Jesus Christ came to this earth to save sinners. There is no one to bad to be saved, and no one so good that they don’t need to be saved. Let me tell you about my Jesus.

A. My Jesus can save the adulteress.

In John Chap. 8, we find a woman caught red-handed in the very act of adultery. She was guilty. There was no denying what she had done, and the penalty was written in stone.
Leviticus 20:10 “If a man commits adultery with a married woman—if he commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.”
She was guilty. The wages of her sin was death. She earned it, but Jesus saved her.
John 8:5–7 “In the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?” They asked this to trap him, in order that they might have evidence to accuse him. Jesus stooped down and started writing on the ground with his finger. When they persisted in questioning him, he stood up and said to them, “The one without sin among you should be the first to throw a stone at her.””
John 8:10–11 “When Jesus stood up, he said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, Lord,” she answered. “Neither do I condemn you,” said Jesus. “Go, and from now on do not sin anymore.”
She was guilty. The law condemned her to death but not Jesus. Jesus was taking the condemnation of the Law to the cross of Calvary. He was taking her condemnation. As a result, she did not have to die for adultery. Jesus Christ saved her from what she deserved.

B. My Jesus can save someone from the occult.

1. Legion (Mark Chap. 5)

In Mark Chap. 5, we meet a man named simply as Legion because of the number of demons living in him. He was known far and wide as one of Satan’s own. This man was wild. He had lost all decorum as ran around the countryside naked. This man had lost all senses as he cut himself with stones and as he made his home in a cemetery with a tombstone for a pillow.
Society could do nothing with him as he would just simply break the chains of which society tried to bind him, but my Jesus saved him and changed him completely.
Mark 5:15 “They came to Jesus and saw the man who had been demon-possessed, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.”
My Jesus made such a difference in this man’s life that it scared the people of the town, and you talk about a difference being made. This man who once terrorized the community would now be giving testimony to the community.
Mark 5:18–19 “As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged him earnestly that he might remain with him. Jesus did not let him but told him, “Go home to your own people, and report to them how much the Lord has done for you and how he has had mercy on you.””

2. An Unnamed Son (Mark Chap 9)

This is a pitiful account in the Bible. This young man had been possessed by a terrible demon.
Mark 9:17–18 “Someone from the crowd answered him, “Teacher, I brought my son to you. He has a spirit that makes him unable to speak. Whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive it out, but they couldn’t.””
This father was concerned. This demon would have killed his son on many occasions, but the father stayed with the son constantly keeping death away from the young man who had been possessed since he was a child. (THIS IS NOT A PARABLE AND WE NEED TO DO ALL WE CAN AS THIS FATHER DID TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN FROM SATAN)
This man went to the disciples, but they could not help him, but my Jesus could.
Mark 9:23–27 “Jesus said to him, “ ‘If you can’? Everything is possible for the one who believes.” Immediately the father of the boy cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!” When Jesus saw that a crowd was quickly gathering, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,
You mute and deaf spirit, I command you: Come out of him and never enter him again.” Then it came out, shrieking and throwing him into terrible convulsions. The boy became like a corpse, so that many said, “He’s dead.” But Jesus, taking him by the hand, raised him, and he stood up.”
Anything is possible for the one who believes in my Jesus. Both the father and the son were liberated that day. The occult had both of them enslaved, but my Jesus broke those bonds.

3. My Jesus can save someone from religion.

Acts 9:1–2 “Now Saul was still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord. He went to the high priest and requested letters from him to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any men or women who belonged to the Way, he might bring them as prisoners to Jerusalem.”
Philippians 3:5–6 “circumcised the eighth day; of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew born of Hebrews; regarding the law, a Pharisee; regarding zeal, persecuting the church; regarding the righteousness that is in the law, blameless.”
There was this man named Saul who was as religious as religious could be. He thought he was doing God’s work by persecuting the church, and believe me, he was doing a good job of persecution as he was complicit in the execution of one of the deacons of the First Baptist Church of Jerusalem, but he met my Jesus, and my Jesus changed his life.
Acts 9:3–6 “As he traveled and was nearing Damascus, a light from heaven suddenly flashed around him. Falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul said. “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting,” he replied. “But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.””
Saul thought he was persecuting blasphemers, but he was persecuting God, but God met him, saved him, and changed his life, and Saul went from persecuting Christians to being persecuted and martyred as Paul, the missionary to the Gentiles and the writer of half of the New Testament.

4. My Jesus can save you.

You might not be an adulterer. You might not be demon-possessed, and you might think you are really religious, but dear friend, you are a sinner, and religion cannot save you, but my Jesus can. As a matter of absolute fact, Jesus is the only One who can save you.
Acts 4:12 “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.””
Ephesians 1:7 “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace”
The blood of Jesus Christ can save any sinner.
Romans 10:13 “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Everyone can be saved. My Jesus can make you a new person just as he did these examples I gave you this morning. He can make you a new person just as He made Marge Kesterson a new person, just as he made me a new person.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!”
You do not have to reform yourself to be saved. The reformation comes after regeneration. My Jesus can save you.

2. Let me tell you about my Jesus: He makes a way where there ain’t no way.

John 14:6 “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Without Jesus Christ, there ain’t no way for you to get to heaven, but Jesus Christ made that way possible, and He offers that way to every man, woman, boy, and girl.
Ephesians 2:4–5 “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!”
Jesus Christ gives up hope from hopelessness.
There is no other way to Heaven. Jesus took my sins that I might be innocent. Jesus became my guilt that I might be acquitted. Jesus took my despair that I might be filled with joy. He took my shame that I might have His glory. He took my hell to Calvary that I might have the blessings of heaven.
His death had my name on it. His resurrection had my name on it. It is Jesus Christ who makes a way where there is not one.
Jesus Christ made it possible to feed the 5,000 with 5 loaves of bread and two fish. That seems impossible but with my Jesus the impossible becomes possible.
Jesus Christ can calm the stormy seas. That seems impossible but with my Jesus the impossible becomes the possible.
Jesus Christ walked on the water. That seems impossible but with my Jesus the impossible becomes the possible.
Jesus Christ raised the dead, healed the sick, cleansed the lepers, and made the blind see. That seems impossible but with my Jesus the impossible becomes the possible.
Jesus Christ withstood the devil. That seems impossible but with my Jesus the impossible becomes the possible.
CONCLUSION:
Can I ask you a question? What has Jesus done for you? Does the world need to know about your Jesus? The world needs to know anyone can be saved.
Romans 10:9–10 “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.”
Jesus has made a way where there was no way. AMEN!!!
