Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
What does it mean? Real? Heard it but Look same | Body same - Let’s unpack this miracle of Gospel.

Let’s dive in
For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Law = Power. Law = Mosiac Law. Need to understand a few things here;

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Soul = ‘Psyche’ - its your mind, conciousness, decisions
Spirit - You inner most being.
Now what is dead before you meet Jesus Christ?
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—
You have Dead Spirit - Jesus didn’t come to make bad people good - Dead people live.
We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
We die, dead Spirit is crucified with Christ | our New Spirit is raised to Life with Him.
We have an ALIVE SPIRIT that has been resurrected and the Holy Spirit who lives in us - This makes up us.
Good News;
For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
It is through the SPIRIT= We cry ABBA FATHER.
God communicates with the Spirit
Now - Set to dive into romans.
For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. We said what rightousness requirement of the Law was last week;
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
So the question then becomes - How do we walk, according to the Spirit?
First thing - We set our Mind on the things of the Spirit
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
That’s why our soul has a choice, right here right now - This is why Sanctification requires our participation - Because God has given you free will to set your Mind.
second thing - We submit and surrender to the Will of God
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Don’t go this way - Be transformed by renewing of your mind.
That’s why we pray for a Filling of the Holy Spirit.
Yes He is already living in us, but as the things of the Spirit flows through to the things of the Soul, we then walk out what the Spirit asks us to walk out in Faith - We start to be SPIRIT LED - This is the point.
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Follow the Holy Spirit into NEWNESS OF LIFE.
Holy Spirit in you is God and wants to Lead you.
This is why - Holy Spirit gives revelation through Scripture - Read it, and you get it, HS is revealing something, then it’s on you to act.
For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
Looks at scripture, listens to Holy Spirit and Acts - Be blessed, why?
Because His truth is LIFE AND FREEDOM. This is what’s on table.
what do we do?
Set our Mind on the things of the Spirit - Reveals Himself through Living Word.
submit and surrender to the Will of God
Let’s keep going in Romans;
For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Here is the good news;
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
Through what? The SPIRIT, through humbly, and intentionally, submitting to the Holy Spirit, who is going to Lead you.
Main Point: The Holy Spirit can only lead you to what is Good and Life because He is good and Life - but you need to set your mind.

This is what God wants us to see today. don’t get in this mindset of this is me - I’ve tried everytihng - no…don’t be conformed, be transformed.
Sledgehammers are coming - but its not random, its according to the blue print - And certain walls in your life need to come down.
transformation is going to happen in you.
It doesn’t start with something we do, It starts with turning and desiring to be led by the Spirit
the sledgehammers…is the word of God.
I’m gonna set my mind on the goodness, and holiness, and amazingness of GOD.
for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
