It’s all about Jesus

Matthew 19:30 ESV
But many who are first will be last, and the last first.
When we focus on others lives we become jealous.
Philippians 2:12–13 (ESV)
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

Don’t take your eyes off of Jesus and God Generosity in your life

You can’t do it better then God
When it comes to the blessing of God- Others receiving doesn’t take away from you!
The bible says God is rich in GRACE!
Ephesians 1:7 (ESV)
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
GRACE: 2. charis (χάρις, 5485), “grace,” indicating favor on the part of the giver, “thanks” on the part of the receiver,
Vine, W. E., Merrill F. Unger, and William White Jr. 1996. In Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, 2:7. Nashville, TN: T. Nelson.

God rewards are based on Grace

In the Kingdom of heaven everything is by Grace!
It isn’t merit it is grace
Romans 6:23 ESV
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God has plans for you!

If you are in Christ you are in covenant with God and God makes this promise to You:
Jeremiah 29:11 ESV
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jesus attacks Religious Spirits

Through Matthew 18-20 Jesus deals with greatest in the Kingdom and with blessing and what we find is that wherever you entered in the blessing is the same
Philippians 4:19 ESV
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
The promises of God aren’t based on position-
The rich young ruler
The promises of God are based on your religious position
Matthew 18:10 ESV
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.
Jesus is looking at the religious leaders
The Promises of God are based on how long you have been a Christian
The Laborers all got the same at the end
Jesus isn’t about Title in the Kingdom- He is looking for servants
and all who labor get paid
Jesus is the Example of this Matthew 20:28
Matthew 20:28 ESV
even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
A Ransom for Many- At the fall all authority was given given to Satan
God has sent Jesus to pay the ransom price for your life!
The Dake Annotated Reference Bible (Notes for Verse 28)
1. From death (Ex. 21:30; Ps. 49:7–9; Hos. 13:14 ; 1Cor. 15:51–58)
- I shall ransom them from the power of Sheol; I shall redeem them from Death. Death, where are your plagues? Sheol, where is your sting?
2. From sickness (Ex. 30:12–16; Job 33:14–30; 1Cor. 6:19)
- Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? qYou are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
3. From sin (Mt. 20:28; 26:28; Mk. 10:45; 1Pet. 2:24; Eph. 1:7)
- He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. hBy his wounds you have been healed.
4. From the enemy (Jer. 31:11; Isa. 35:10; 51:10; 1Tim. 2:6)

And the ransomed of the LORD shall return

and come to Zion with singing;

ieverlasting joy shall be upon their heads;

they shall obtain gladness and joy,

and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

2 Timothy 2:5–6 ESV
An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops.

Because the Greatest became the Least for us

WWE HAVE BEEN SET FREE- SATAN NO LONGER HAS ANY SAY
Zechariah 3:1–4 ESV
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, O Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was standing before the angel, clothed with filthy garments. And the angel said to those who were standing before him, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.”
WHAT GOD HAS REDEEMED NO DEVIL IN HELL CAN ACCUSE!
YOU HAVE BEEN REDEEMED!
Psalm 107:2 ESV
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble
Christ came and served-
Philippians 2:5–10 ESV
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
He Humble Himself - and He is greatest!

Don’t take your eyes off of Jesus!

Hebrews 12:2 ESV
looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
He has been raised to the Highest place of Power and honor
CHRIST IS OUR EXAMPLE!
