24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

28When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law. Matthew 7:24- 29

Four things that we can learn together in this parable.

1.The Rock - is Jesus

2. The House- Man

3.The Storm- Life trials and testings

4.The Sand- Mans philosophy; disposition and understanding that comes from this world .

How about your life what is your foundation built upon?

Is it built upon sand, mans philosophy, your friends advice, how about the things of this world? or is it built on the rock?

The Truths about the foundation

The Strength of the foundation determines the strength of the structure

Strorms will surely come

John 16:33

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me .Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows

A Firm Foundation

Your foundation provides the moral compass that guides your decisions

Jesus is our firm foundation

1 Timothy 6:3

His teaching bring life to those who follow

Your Foundation allows for absolutes to build your life upon
