Daniel 3:1-30
V11- This is where we would start to fight. (Freedom of Religion).
V15- We would get a lawyer and maybe start praying.
V18- This is where other Christians would start to question our faith.
V20- Why didn’t God answer my prayer?
God didn’t deliver them from their persecution, but he delivered them through it.
We are always looking for a way out instead of strength to go through.
We act like it’s Gods job to make sure we don’t have to suffer with anything.
And if we do suffer, it’s because we aren’t praying hard enough.
John 9:1-7
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
Paul said that he would rather glory in his infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon him.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego knew God had the power to deliver them from the fire. But they were also willing to go through it.
Sometimes we are so focused on trying to get out of the storm, we don’t see what God is doing in it.
