Weapons of the Liberator

Working on establishing a culture of people who are not just passive followers but a passionate people who have learned to walk in their liberation as they are being set free and bringing liberation to those around them.

That is, the Liberators of today need to walk fully equipped and adept in the warfare that is at our doorstep.

This is a look beyond the armor of God of Eph 6 which in large part is for our defense, but as any gift of the Spirit is intended to be for the betterment of the body of Christ the equipment we will talk about today is

a. priority in the life of the Liberator

and;

b. for the growing of the body of Christ.

I want to address 4 of the weapons… while there are several others, it is my intent to get through these four and end this service with an acknowledgement as we step into a new season here at Remnant Church

The liberator must be fully equipped and adept for warfare as they bring liberation to others.

Pray for the body to be equipped with the weapons of warfare.

Today more than ever we need the fullness of ministry brought to life in each of us… I tell you that the fullness is not just being saved

In Jesus we have a great example of how a liberator must walk;

Matthew 4:23 ESV

And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.

Liberation of the afflicted

When the liberator/minister is living in the fullness of the ministry they were called to these things flow… then two things occur in the life of the liberator

Matthew 4:24 ESV

So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them.

The anointing and equipping causes those who are sick, diseased, in pain, those who are possessed by demons… those who are in need begin to show up the Lord is about to move in their life.

Matthew 4:25 ESV

And great crowds followed him from Galilee and the Decapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.

crowds begin to follow… not you but the very Spirit of God that is manifest in you.

These who are known as liberators and great warriors in the Kingdom of God carry Weapons of Warfare… today I will briefly touch on 4 (if the Lord Permits)

Weapon 1: Revelation

Without Revelation there can be “NO” Liberation

Matthew 17:27 ESV

However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for me and for yourself.”

When operating in the fullness of your ministry you must carry revelation

Literal straightforward understanding of this section

Peter is sent to the sea to get a fish that has a coin.

How did Jesus know;

the fish would be there;

Peter would listen;

which fish would have the shekel

when the fish would arrive

Revelation is what speaks of

The what of God’s will

The what hen of God’s will

The why of God’s will

The who of God’s will

Revelation changes your well established methods

Peter was an expert in fishing with a net not with a pole

He could have responded “if theres one there could be many and we can catch them all…”

Revelation depends on the Lord not Your experience and learned methods

we cannot waste time trying to logic what has no logic

human rationalization kills revelation

somethings will be missed by trying to rationalize the process.

The kingdom of heaven things operate in faith and not what you think it is or what appears in the natural

Revelation reveals who is walking with you and what their intention is

Revelation saves you time in making sense of how to engage

not counseling a demon but casting it out

Ask yourself how did the fish bite the hook with a coin in its mouth…

how many of us would disapprove of revelation because of logic

Ask the Lord to show you further than what is natural

When He shows you something about the people walking with you its not for you to cut them off or distance them but to set them free you are being made liberators

Truth is we all have something we are fighting and what a blessing for revelation to reveal to someone when I have a need.

Weapon 2: Relationship with the Holy Spirit

Functioning without a relationship with the Holy Spirit is performance

Luke 4:1 ESV

And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness

In His baptism the Holy Spirit descend on Him and Fills Him

To the disciples in Acts He tells them to wait to be filled

Jesus at 12 already had knowledge at 30 He is Filled with the HS

what good is knowledge of words w/o the fullness of the HS…

we become a hammer beating on people

Jesus was filled HS… led into the dessert

v. 14 returned in the Power of the Spirit

He didnt settle for for just the filling He wanted all of it…

we need to contend for all of it

Do not settle for just the fullness, press in for all of it.

Desire not just to have the Spirit fight for the space where you are walking in the Spirit

guide someone to do something

Desire more than what you already have contend for the relationship with the Paraklete

ask the HS not just fill me;

what is it you want

where do you want me to go

when should I

who should I

A relationship with the HS will establish your agenda

Jesus would say “It is necessary for me to…”

let the Holy Spirit set your priorities for the day

great to have a beautifully crafted word but you miss out when you do not ask the HS who needs what needs when is… show me HS

when the books close ask HS who is it for what is it for… SHOW ME WHAT I CANNOT SEE WITH MY EYES

there cannot be a liberator without an intimate relationship with the HS

When was the last time was HS spoke directly to you not through gifts or other mediums…

contend for the relationship… I do not want to just be touched emotionally I want to be led… I want to know that

what is it; what is the need

who is it ; who is in need

I need to know what your body needs.

Weapon 3: Gifts

Luke 8:22 ESV

One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side of the lake.” So they set out,

Along the way Jesus performed several signs

Jesus operated in all of the gifts

Gift of knowledge

seeing something before it happens

My agenda is…”samaratin woman… Last supper table… I saw you under the tree…”

it is important to sacrifice the need to have large eloquent words and simply allow the HS speak

stop sending telegrams.

you have what you are going to say but have no clue what is going to happen.

Discernment

do not cast out demons of those being filled with the HS and say more more for the one manifesting demonically

The danger with gifts is when we try to purchase them… with our good behavior subverting the relationship

It is a good thing to desire the gifts that according to 1 Cor are 9 and they are given as the Holy Spirit wills for the good of the Body of Christ… eagerly desire the gifts

Weapon 4: Authority

Matthew 10:1 ESV

And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.

Various types of power

Dunamis - power and ability

Exousia - legal right or authority to use such power

Consider the sons of Sceva

Without authority your power is useless.

you cannot function out of order and think you have authority

Today we will formally acknowledge the work of one who is operating in manner in which they have shown their desire to operate with such order

Submitted to the Lord

Submitted to her family

Submitted to the apostolic covering that is extending over her

As woman has an uphill battle to live in the work of minsitry humanity has made hard.

authority is not bound by your title it is found in the condition of being submitted to authority… none greater than Jesus Christ

These weapons will cause the ones in need to flock to you
