2 Samuel 2:30 NKJV
30 So Joab returned from pursuing Abner. And when he had gathered all the people together, there were missing of David’s servants nineteen men and Asahel.
1 Kings 11:1 NKJV
1 But King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites—

1 Kings 3:16 NKJV
16 Now two women who were harlots came to the king, and stood before him.

Deuteronomy 1:22 NKJV
22 “And every one of you came near to me and said, ‘Let us send men before us, and let them search out the land for us, and bring back word to us of the way by which we should go up, and of the cities into which we shall come.’
Joshua 2:3 NKJV
3 So the king of Jericho sent to Rahab, saying, “Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered your house, for they have come to search out all the country.”

Joshua 2:4 NKJV
4 Then the woman took the two men and hid them. So she said, “Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they were from.
Rashi on Joshua 2:4:1
And she hid them. *The word וַתִּצְפְנוֹ (ve-tu-sepenu) is singular but the verse is said regarding the two men and should be plural.
There are scriptural verses that speak of the plural as if it were singular.
Since she was in a hurry to hide them and she hid them in a narrow place
*She hid them in a place that normally would have sufficed for one person.
it was as though they were one person.
The Midrash of Rabbi Tanchuma states
‘That these two men were Pinchos and Caleiv,
and Pinchos stood before them *Before the pursuers.
but they did not see him because he was [invisible] like an angel.’
*Therefore there was no need to hide him and thus she actually hid only one man.
Another interpretation: She hid each of them separately. *Therefore it is correct to say: she hid him. We find a similar verse:
‘Oil and incense gladden the heart’ *
Proverbs 27:9 NKJV
9 Ointment and perfume delight the heart, And the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel.
Joshua 2:5 NKJV
5 And it happened as the gate was being shut, when it was dark, that the men went out. Where the men went I do not know; pursue them quickly, for you may overtake them.”
Joshua 2:6 NKJV
6 (But she had brought them up to the roof and hidden them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order on the roof.)
Revelation 19:7–8 NKJV
7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Joshua 2:7 NKJV
7 Then the men pursued them by the road to the Jordan, to the fords. And as soon as those who pursued them had gone out, they shut the gate.

Joshua 2:8 NKJV
8 Now before they lay down, she came up to them on the roof,
Joshua 2:9 NKJV
9 and said to the men: “I know that the Lord has given you the land, that the terror of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land are fainthearted because of you.
Exodus 15:14–16 NKJV
14 “The people will hear and be afraid; Sorrow will take hold of the inhabitants of Philistia. 15 Then the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed; The mighty men of Moab, Trembling will take hold of them; All the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away. 16 Fear and dread will fall on them; By the greatness of Your arm They will be as still as a stone, Till Your people pass over, O Lord, Till the people pass over Whom You have purchased.
Joshua 2:10 NKJV
10 For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
Deuteronomy 2:34 NKJV
34 We took all his cities at that time, and we utterly destroyed the men, women, and little ones of every city; we left none remaining.
Romans 10:17 NKJV
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Joshua 2:11 NKJV
11 And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.
Exodus 18:10–11 NKJV
10 And Jethro said, “Blessed be the Lord, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of Pharaoh, and who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians. 11 Now I know that the Lord is greater than all the gods; for in the very thing in which they behaved proudly, He was above them.”
Deuteronomy 4:39 NKJV
39 Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
Joshua 2:12 NKJV
12 Now therefore, I beg you, swear to me by the Lord, since I have shown you kindness, that you also will show kindness to my father’s house, and give me a true token,
Exodus 12:13 NKJV
13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

Joshua 6:23–25 NKJV
23 And the young men who had been spies went in and brought out Rahab, her father, her mother, her brothers, and all that she had. So they brought out all her relatives and left them outside the camp of Israel. 24 But they burned the city and all that was in it with fire. Only the silver and gold, and the vessels of bronze and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord. 25 And Joshua spared Rahab the harlot, her father’s household, and all that she had. So she dwells in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
Joshua 2:14 NKJV
14 So the men answered her, “Our lives for yours, if none of you tell this business of ours. And it shall be, when the Lord has given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.”
Deuteronomy 7:2 NKJV
2 and when the Lord your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them.
Joshua 2:15 NKJV
15 Then she let them down by a rope through the window, for her house was on the city wall; she dwelt on the wall.
Joshua 2:16 NKJV
16 And she said to them, “Get to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you. Hide there three days, until the pursuers have returned. Afterward you may go your way.”
Joshua 2:17 NKJV
17 So the men said to her: “We will be blameless of this oath of yours which you have made us swear,
Joshua 2:18 NKJV
18 unless, when we come into the land, you bind this line of scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and unless you bring your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household to your own home.

Joshua 2:19 NKJV

Joshua 2:20 NKJV
20 And if you tell this business of ours, then we will be free from your oath which you made us swear.”
Joshua 2:21 NKJV
21 Then she said, “According to your words, so be it.” And she sent them away, and they departed. And she bound the scarlet cord in the window.
Joshua 6:17 NKJV
17 Now the city shall be doomed by the Lord to destruction, it and all who are in it. Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
Joshua 2:22 NKJV

Numbers 14:11 NKJV
11 Then the Lord said to Moses: “How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them?
Numbers 14:24 NKJV
24 But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.

2 Corinthians 7:1 NKJV
1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Numbers 15:20 NKJV
20 You shall offer up a cake of the first of your ground meal as a heave offering; as a heave offering of the threshing floor, so shall you offer it up.
Genesis 2:6–7 NKJV
6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground. 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Ezekiel 8:3 NKJV
3 He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my hair; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the north gate of the inner court, where the seat of the image of jealousy was, which provokes to jealousy.
Song of Solomon 2:9 NKJV
9 My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, he stands behind our wall; He is looking through the windows, Gazing through the lattice.
Proverbs 23:26–32 NKJV
26 My son, give me your heart, And let your eyes observe my ways. 27 For a harlot is a deep pit, And a seductress is a narrow well. 28 She also lies in wait as for a victim, And increases the unfaithful among men. 29 Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaints? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? 30 Those who linger long at the wine, Those who go in search of mixed wine. 31 Do not look on the wine when it is red, When it sparkles in the cup, When it swirls around smoothly; 32 At the last it bites like a serpent, And stings like a viper.
Romans 11:14–16 NKJV
14 if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. 15 For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
3- Candle Lightening
Exodus 35:3 NKJV
3 You shall kindle no fire throughout your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”
Isaiah 58:13 NKJV
13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the Lord honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words,
Ephesians 5:8–14 ESV
8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
Joshua 2:15 NKJV
15 Then she let them down by a rope through the window, for her house was on the city wall; she dwelt on the wall.

Song of Solomon 2:9 NKJV
9 My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, he stands behind our wall; He is looking through the windows, Gazing through the lattice.
1 Corinthians 13:12 NKJV
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
2 Corinthians 11:33 NKJV
33 but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and escaped from his hands.
Proverbs 7:6 NKJV
6 For at the window of my house I looked through my lattice,

Nehemiah 1:3–4 NKJV
3 And they said to me, “The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.” 4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.
Ephesians 2:17–22 NKJV
17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
James 2:17–26 NKJV
17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Hebrews 11:31 NKJV
31 By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.
2 Corinthians 13:5–6 NKJV
5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 6 But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified.
