Death and God like water and oil
can’t mix
like dry paper and fire burned up in contact
Death
often another word for evil in Scripture and tradition
not just physical death
sin
disease
damnation
God not author of death for humans (first reading and CCC 1008)
result of turning from God
God is life
True, Good
totally incompatible w/ death
presence burns it up, pushes it away
by embracing it for self, destroys it
In Gospels
makes present to illness and death and so banishes it
Death cannot enter into God
like Temple nothing unclean, neither can evil come before God
Thanks be to Christ He will to purify us of it
However, we must seek it in faith
either ally self w/ death and pushed away from the Good or with God and lose sin
in the end like water and oil, evil and God will be totally divided
therefore choose life.
For us
Must seek God totally
like water and oil death not compatible w/ God
the dry parchment of death will be burned up when all things terminate before God
if cling any sin in the end will burn us up with it when exposed to eternal life
what we cling to is like a car we jump in [BETTER DESCRIBE]
its destination is ours
death to death God to God
what do we cling to?
Conclusion
