Illustration - As a child, I would walk slow holding things up, trip over my own feet. be touching everything, eventually I would be complaining because I couldn’t see or keep up. Eventually , My dad would lift me up on HIs shoulders and carry me (Today, I see lots of mothers doing this as well). But I thought I could fly!

Isaiah 40:21–31 (NIV)

Do you not know? Have you not heard?

Has it not been told you from the beginning?

Have you not understood since the earth was founded?

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth,

and its people are like grasshoppers.

He stretches out the heavens like a canopy,

and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

He brings princes to naught

and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.

No sooner are they planted,

no sooner are they sown,

no sooner do they take root in the ground,

than he blows on them and they wither,

and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.

“To whom will you compare me?

Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One.

Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:

Who created all these?

He who brings out the starry host one by one

and calls forth each of them by name.

Because of his great power and mighty strength,

not one of them is missing.

Why do you complain, Jacob?

Why do you say, Israel,

“My way is hidden from the Lord;

my cause is disregarded by my God”?

Do you not know?

Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary,

and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary

and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary,

and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

Exegesis

Do Know God, Do You a Reminder of Just How Awesome He is? - Because today I want you to know just how mighty and good God is! He is so good, that He will even help us even when our faith gets shaky and weak, and maybe even if you stumble and fall.

He is all the OMNI’s (Omnipresence- present, Omnipotent - powerful, Omniscience - knowing)

Add all the scriptural references here for all these attributes of God.

He is eternal from beginning of time to end of time

He is creator of all things

He is all powerful - divine control

There is no one like God

So what are we in comparison to Him??? What kind of life do you plan to have without him?

Sure, you might face things that come at you , but after awhile you are going to grow tired. Our something Bigger than you alone can handle will plop right in your life-and who or what do you turn to then? Here we see the God of the universe the Creator of ALL things with ALL Power, and ALL Wisdom is longing to be on your side, to lift you up to fight your battles. placing our faith and hope in CHRIST, and that often includes wawuithout hitinn to have g upon the Lord.

Let’s just consider the Eagle here, what does it mean to soar like an eagle? The scripture says that

Eagle soar when the hot winds blow, because of their wingspan they can get lift in a Headwind, and during a Storm thy will Rise above it.
