Psalm 133:1–3 ESV
Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.
I believe our Church body has experienced this blessing - and our growth groups is more than a bibly study, it’s somewhere that we come together, fellowship and live our our mission we feel that God has given to us. To be devoted. The early church also experienced this blessing;
They devoted themselves to doing what we are doing -
Acts 2:46–47 ESV
And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Community is a blessing, this is a blessing and Jesus died for it;
John 17:21 ESV
that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
As we take communion tonight together, I just want us to reflect that we can all worship together in one Spirit, because of what Jesus did on the cross.
That we are connected through His blood, and with His Spiirt within us.
In your own time, take communion, and then Danny will sing.
