Luke 1:37 NKJV
For with God nothing will be impossible.”
When I was in my early twenties i was a police officer in ohio, we had to learn the various symbols of the state of Ohio. One of the things that I some trouble with was memorizing the state motto. Over and over again reciting the state motto “with God all things are possible” Today the profound message Of Ohio’s motto stays with me.
Have you ever noticed that God make a habit of doing the impossible? Sarah gave birth to Isaac in her eighties. The Red Sea split to make a path for the Israelites. The walls of Jericho fell with a shout. Mary gave birth to Jesus when she was still a virgin. We have a God who laughs at the impossible.
The moment that we realize that God is beyond the impossible it changes our lives. We no longer see things through our own petty limitations. We no longer see God in ways that limit His power and ability. Notice what Jeremiah says: Nothing is too hard for you. Those words are literal because there is nothing that is too hard for God to accomplish. God takes what we believe to be impossible and does it. After all He is God. There is nothing that He cannot do.
Jeremiah 32:17 NKJV
‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.
The issue is perspective. We look at life through our limited perspective and see the impossible. God looks at our lives through His divine perspective and sees unlimited possibilities. Think about that for just a moment. If God made the heavens and the earth, what is beyond His ability to accomplish? The very Word of God has the ability to bring creation into being out of nothing. God speaks and light comes into existence. God speaks and stars twinkle into reality. God breathed and life flowed into Adam. What is impossible for God? Nothing!
The problem is that there are plenty of things that we face that seem to be impossible. There are things that happen in life that limit our ability to see the work of God clearly. We see the impossibilities of personal setbacks on a daily basis. The weight of our problems seems to overwhelm us to the point that we think of giving up.
Story of when i got out of law enforcement
Trials come our way just as they did for the disciples on the Sea of Galilee with a sudden storm. Illness strikes when we least expect it. Problems come to those we love with little that we can do about them. Hardships come in financial setbacks with unexpected burdens. The reality is that life can be far more difficult than we anticipate. In the midst of all of these issues we seem to forget that nothing is impossible for God.
Remember the story of Peter walking on water? “And Peter answered Him and said, ‘Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.’ So He said, ‘Come.’ And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.” –Matthew 14:28-29
This is an excellent illustration of doing the impossible. Scientifically, walking on water is not possible. Water is not dense enough to keep someone afloat. Buoyant force must be present to prevent a body from sinking. But Peter was able to walk on water, defying the laws of nature because Jesus said he could, and he believed Him. Unfortunately, moments later, Peter felt frightened by the winds, and fear set in, then he began to sink.
The story teaches us an incredible lesson. There are so many reasons to make you doubt the possibility of what God has impressed on you to do. But you have to make a choice – believe you can do the impossible or doubt the power of God and sink into the prevailing reality.
Maybe you once believed God was calling or inspiring you to do something. But as soon as you started, challenges (winds) engulfed you, and you began to doubt your conviction. And the more you doubted, the more the challenges seemed insurmountable. However tempting, you shouldn't second guess your cause. As Peter cried to Jesus when he began to sink, you should cry to God and ask Him to keep your faith afloat, so you can accomplish what He has called you to do.

Why Does God Make the Impossible Possible?

We are God's workmanship, created to do good works for the advancement of His Kingdom (Ephesians 2:10). However, the imperfections of our human nature cast doubt on our ability to fulfill God's plan in our lives.
We often focus so much on our inadequacies that we become discouraged and fail to rise to our calling. But in commitment to His purposes, God does not relent in getting us where He wants us to be.
He makes what we consider impossible possible to…
1.Grow Our Character
Sometimes, our reality is a stark contrast to the great plans God has for us. So, God delights in stepping in and making the impossible possible to refine our character, enabling us to become who He created us to be.
2.Increase Our Trust
Stubborn obstacles often seem to challenge the power of the Word of God working in us. But when we remain steadfast, God makes the impossible possible, solidifying our trust in Him. By increasing out trust he brings us further in our faith . Every time God moves supernaturally in our lives, it becomes like a building block of our faith. It strengthens our faith and leads us to seek Him more.
3. Experience Him in New Ways
Ideally, what you think is impossible, in most cases, is something you have not experienced before. But when God makes it happen, it becomes an opportunity for you to experience Him in a new way.

4. To Receive the Glory

Throughout the Bible, God did impossible things – parting the Red Sea, bringing down the walls of Jericho, feeding the hungry – that brought Him glory. Even today, whenever God resolves an impossible situation in people's lives, it glorifies Him.
God is actively working in us to fulfill His great purposes. And in the process of getting us where we ought to be, we must be ready to witness Him making the impossible possible because that's how He operates.
Reasons We Don't Answer the Call to Do the Impossible Often when God calls us to do what we think is beyond us, we hesitate. One good example is Moses. When Moses was called to deliver the Israelites from slavery (Exodus 3 and 4), he had several excuses for why he was unfit for the task. The same happens to most of us. Some of the common reasons that potentially hinder us include… Fear of Failure Getting out of our comfort zones to pursue what God has ordained for us takes courage. People always have misgivings, wondering what if it never materializes. What if the challenges become insurmountable and halt the dream? This is our fear. Feeling Inadequate Like Moses, we often focus too much on our inadequacies and justify why we are unfit for the assigned task. For instance, Moses asked God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?” Even after God had assured him, he still had one more excuse up to give, “O Lord, I have never been eloquent.” Fear of Being Too Young/Old Sometimes, we might think we are too old or too young to accomplish our purpose. However, God is not limited by age. Moses was at age 80 when he was sent to deliver the Israelites (Exodus 7:7). Abraham was 100 years old when he sired his child of the covenant, Isaac (Genesis 21:5). Samuel was only a small boy when God called him (1 Samuel 3). Your age is inconsequential in God's plan. Even if we are too young and feel intimidated, we can remember the Word of God,
Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” –1 Timothy 4:12 Why You Need to Answer the Impossible Call of God in Your Life But why should you answer the impossible call of God in your life? Maybe you ask, “Is it worth the trouble?” Well, it's natural to settle in your comfort zone; it feels familiar and safe. However, one's comfort zone is an enemy of growth. For the scriptures say
1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
The natural thing to think is with the imperfections that characterize us (humans), you can only achieve so much by settling for the ordinary. God desires that everyone takes the challenge of responding to the impossible call because it's a call of growth and perfection in Christ. It's in answering the call that you get refined to become who God created you to be. Answering God's calling enables you to… 1Fulfill your purpose
2 Find peace and joy
3 Bless others
4 Live a life of impact
5 Fulfill the Great Commission
During the ministry of Jesus, He proved that He could indeed accomplish the impossible. Jesus had power over death because He raised the dead. Every funeral that Jesus encountered ended in the person being alive. Jesus had power over nature. Jesus had the ability to calm storms and turn water into wine. Jesus had authority over demons. Jesus gave the command and the demons had to obey. Jesus had the power over sickness. Jesus healed those with a variety of illnesses. The blind received sight, the deaf could hear, the crippled could walk and lepers were cleansed.
Jesus does what we think is impossible. There is no problem that He cannot solve. There is no hurt that He cannot heal. There is no sickness that He cannot cure. There is no pain that He cannot reach.
Today, look carefully at your life and think of the impossible things you are facing. Jesus wants to step into those situations. The only thing keeping Christ from working in our lives is us. We make the choice to either go to Jesus or go it on our own. Jesus wants to bring His power into your life. All He is waiting for is your call. Now is the time to take your impossibilities to the One who knows nothing but possibility. Now is the time to go before the One who brought all things into being
and seek His assistance.
Has God summoned you to do the impossible? Does fear and feelings of inadequacy keep you from obeying Him? If God has impressed upon you something that seems impossible, then you need to take a step of faith like Peter and challenge your limiting beliefs. Start asking God to show you the steps to take.
God can make what seems impossible possible. He did this when He made the first ever promise to Abraham–being a hundred years did not stop God from fulfilling His purposes through him.
He did this with Moses. Moses may have been an old runaway murderer who wasn't eloquent, but God chose him to negotiate with the Pharaoh to release the Israelites from slavery.
He will do it again–God will continue to make the impossible possible.
Don't allow the enemy to keep you trapped in lies whatever your misgivings are. God is calling you to freedom in Jesus, so you can rise and fulfill the great purpose He created you for. No matter how difficult the mission is, have confidence that God can make the impossible possible.
