INTRO: Northwestern U did a study that found that women spoke on average 16,215 words a day, compared to men who spoke 15,669. The way we treat each other, especially as Christians holds much weight.

Today were gonna look at what God’s word says about how we are to treat others

27 “But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. 29 To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. 30 Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. 31 And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

32 “If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. 35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. 36 Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful

10. Submit to one another
To submit to one another is literally to align oneself below others in rank—to perceive ourselves as lesser in rank for the benefit of the other. Christ Himself provides the greatest example of submitting to one another when He lowered Himself to become a man and to die the death of a common criminal on the cross in order that those who believe in Him might be saved
Ephesians 5:21 “submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.”
Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
9. Exhort one another
The Cambridge dictionary defines the word exhort to encourage strongly
Hebrews 3:13 “But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”
Hebrews 10:25 “not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
In proverbs were told:
Proverbs 10:11 “The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.”
When we encourage one another we are speaking life into that soul
8. Comfort one another
I think about poor Job. But at least he had 3 friends who left their homes to come and sit with Job as he was suffering so. The bible says they didn't say a word, for a week, but at least Job knew they were there.
1511 One reason a dog is such a comfort when you’re downcast is that he doesn’t ask to know why.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
1 Peter 3:8 “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.”
7. Pray for one another
James 5:16 - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
OK, this is a big deal. This is why we should praying with people alot. #1 Healing and #2 Prayers that get answered.
We serve one another through love when we pray for one another.

6. Do not grumble against one another
James 5:9 “Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.”
Philippians 2:14 “Do all things without grumbling or disputing,”
Bad, I mean bad things happened to the israelites when they grumbled, in fact Moses told them that when they grumbled among themselves, they were actually grumbling against God.
1 Corinthians 10:10–11 “nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the Destroyer. Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of the ages has come.”
Gratitude is the cure to complaining
5. Forgive one another
Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Colossians 3:13 “bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.”
In fact there is 1 condition for your forgiveness:
Matthew 6:14–15 “For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Friends listen closely; If your not getting your prayers answered, take a look inside your heart and see if you have unforgiveness toward someone. Unforgivness is sneaky and it’s an absolute brick wall to prayer.
Mark 11:25 “And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.””
4. Be kind to one another
Dear Lord, we are sorely missing this in today's age.
Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.
Plato
Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Being kind actually impacts your own wellbeing:
Proverbs 11:17“A man who is kind benefits himself
3. Serve one another
The world thinks that happiness is the result of others serving us, but real joy comes when we serve others in the name of Christ.

We are to imitate Jesus who was the ultimate example of servanthood
Philippians 2:7 “but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.”
Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.””
1 Peter 4:10 “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:”
The whole reason we have been given gifts is to serve others!
were promised a harvest for serving
Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
2. Do not judge one another
Jesus say’s about all you ever need to hear about this subject:
Matthew 7:1–5 ““Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”
The pharisees were really good at judgment. They were great at looking down their nose at everyone and being “Holier than thou.” I believe their actions made Jesus want to barf!
Paul tells us that we put a stumbling block in the way of the folks we judge
Romans 14:13 “Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.”
1. Love one another
I’m convinced you can’t be a Christian and not love.
You do not love the Lord at all unless you love the souls of others.
Charles Spurgeon
John 15:12 ““This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”
1 Peter 4:8 “Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.”
John 13:35 “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.””
3   Money is useful, but the love, the attention, and the care we offer to others are the most important things.

We Have To Love:
Unconditionally
John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”
Romans 5:6–8 “For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Sacrificially
1 John 3:16–18 “By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
Personally
1 John 4:20–21 “If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.”
