Colossians 3:18-25 and chapter 4

In this closing discourse of the book we see a foundational truth that must be found in every church. This structure has been attacked since the very beginning of time. It’s validity is attacked, its order is attacked, and its necessity is attacked heavily by the culture of the world.
What do you think it is?
The home
When we look at the concept of a home. Typically what is referenced is a husband, wife and children. This is not to discount a home that may have a single person, or even a husband and wife with no kids. But when we look at society as a whole and reference the rise and fall of the home it is the typical referencing nuclear family concept.
It is important to note that this is not a pecking order or a military rank of command. There is no greater value placed on any one individual of the family. The husband, wife, and children are co-equal in value. But the roles they play a very different.
Why is the first description of the home here a reference to the wife? Could it be that the apostle thought as he was writing that i was clear enough that Christ is preeminent as referenced in chapter one. Or that Christ was co-equal with the father in the trinity. Or could it be that since chapter two so clearly spells out where our life comes from. And the reference that Christ is above. With all of the previously explained notions it is safe to assume the husband should know who he answers to, if the wife is to answer to the husband.
The Biblical order we find in scripture is
Husband
Wife
Children
servants or employees
Lets look at a few of the descriptions that are commanded in scripture:
Husbands love your wives. This is an agape love. Notice the command of whom to love.
Wives submit to your husbands. Notice the command of whom to submit to.
Children obey your parents. Notice priority is not given to father or mother.
Fathers do not provoke.
Bondservants or employees obey in everything.
As Paul closes his letter lets read together and observe what he emphasizes.
What I noticed was:
prayer
evangelism
conversation
