vv.6-7:
Halfway through the tribulation is where the true colors of the anti-christ begin to show.
This is the point at which he declares himself to be the messiah.
Midway through the tribulation, the antichrist declares himself to be the messiah.
Midway through the tribulation, the antichrist declares himself to be the messiah.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
Daniel 7:25
Daniel 7:25
He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.
V.8:
Those who are written in the Book of Life will never worship the beast, for Christ has sealed the redemption of His elect forever.
The saved have been preserved by Christ.
The saved have been preserved by Christ.
Jude 1
Jude 1
Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:
The anti-christ can never take away one’s salvation.
The unsaved will worship the anti-christ by default.
The unsaved will worship the anti-christ by default.
Luke 11:23
Luke 11:23
He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
John 8:44
John 8:44
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
There is no middle ground, and those not written in the book will be cast into hell at the great white throne.
V.9:
It is imperative that one hears this gospel message, because that is the foundation of faith.
It is imperative that one hears this gospel message, because that is the foundation of faith.
Romans 10:17
Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Whether through the written word of God, or the spoken word of God, the Gospel must be presented to people.
Doing good works and kind deeds are important and useful, and can open doors.
However, good works alone are not enough. Just as good works can’t save you, your good works can’t save anyone else.
Eventually, the word of God must be shared. This is the only hope of salvation.
V.10:
This is a call for believers to endure persecution, as God has called some to endure.
Patience, faith and wisdom are necessary to endure trials.
Patience, faith and wisdom are necessary to endure trials.
James 1:2-6
James 1:2-6
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
The trying of our faith builds patience.
Patience, wisdom and faith are the key characteristics necessary for enduring trials and temptations.
Patience:
Patience is probably the most difficult for the majority of Believers.
We preach it, but do we set the example? (driving, we want everything in a hurry ,etc.)
We preach it, but we are scared to pray for it.
knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
We will be much more patient if we don’t worry about tomorrow.
God provides for our needs daily (one day at a time)
Jesus instructed us to pray for our DAILY bread
We don’t need to persevere forever, just for today.
Wisdom:
Wisdom comes by asking.
Wisdom comes by asking.
James 1:5
James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Proverbs 2:6
Proverbs 2:6
For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
Godly wisdom is foolishness to the world.
Godly wisdom is foolishness to the world.
1 Corinthians 1:18, 21
1 Corinthians 1:18, 21
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
In Mathew 4, Jesus used Scripture to endure and resist trials and temptations. That IS wisdom.
We should study and know the scripture.
Faith:
Biblical faith is not blind.
Biblical faith is not blind.
Hebrews 11:1
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith cannot be separated from salvation. You can’t have faith in something you don’t believe in.
First and foremost, we are in need of salvation.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Faith is the means of salvation.
Faith is the means of salvation.
Ephesians 2:8-9
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Romans 10:9
Romans 10:9
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Knowing that faith can be trusted, and if you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ, you should have faith that your trials are only temporary, and that there are always better days ahead.
The good news is that believers have a promise and a hope. We will be rewarded for our faith and perseverance.
Believers are promised to be rewarded for faith and perseverance.
Believers are promised to be rewarded for faith and perseverance.

Call for salvation
Call for commitment to seek patience, wisdom and faith.
Call for a commitment to try to see our trials in a positive way, and to use that experience to reach out to others.
Our trials lead to opportunity.
Our trials lead to opportunity.
Matthew 10:27
Matthew 10:27
“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.
