V22,23

                We who are believers groan inwardly…

Some saints grin too much and groan too little.  There is no place in their theology for pain.

Another encouragement:

                He enables us to fulfil the Law (2-8)

                He subdues our fallen nature (9-13)

                He assures our adoption into God’s family (14-17)

                He is the guarantee and foretaste of our final inheritance (18-23)

                He is the inspiration of our prayers (26,27)
